I hate to blame the officiating after a collapse like that, but I'm sorry, anyone with Tivo/DVR should go back and review that final Houston drive.

The second play of the drive (after the sack), Randy Starks was absolutely tackled as he was breaking clear to sack Schaub. Of course, there was no holding call.

Next, Schaub was hit and fumbled. His arm was stopped from going forward and the ball came out and the Dolphins recovered. Even if you disagree that his arm was stopped, why was the play not reviewed??? It was obviously an extremely close play within 2 minutes. The decision should have come from the replay booth to stop the game and review the call. Of course, the play was not reviewed.

Not surprisingly, when the Dolphins picked off Schaub, the replay booth immediately called for a replay inside 2 minutes. I may be wrong but I don't necessarily think there was overwhelming evidence that the ball did not hit Goodman's hands rather than the ground.

Typically, the Dolphins come out on the short end of terrible NFL officiating. Not a surprise.

This should have been a win. I am so angry that I am still shaking 10 minutes later.

Also, Andre Johnson ripped off his helmet while on the field celebrating the Schaub TD. Isn't that supposed to be an unsportsmanlike conduct, 15-yard penalty??? In the end, it didn't matter, but it would have mattered if Houston had converted the 2-point try.

There is no consistency in the officiating in the NFL. It makes me sick.

only thing i agree with is im still shaking in anger just being realistic bro that wasnt an interception def. hit the ground

I don't disagree with you on the interception. My point was more that it was a close play and was reviewed whereas the Schaub "fumble" was not. I will continue to maintain that the Schaub "fumble" should have been reviewed. His arm motion was stopped by the hit, period. It is the booth's responsibility to review plays like that inside 2 minutes. There is no excuse for that play not to be reviewed. The Texans didn't even rush to the line to prevent the replay.

Also, if you have the game DVR'd, look at the Starks play. I am telling you that it was BLATANT holding. BLATANT. The game have been over there. Holding call would have made it 2nd & about 25.

...and the 4th and 10 catch by Johnson was clearly offensive Pass Interference. He ran right through Bell and the early contact prevented Bell from knocking it down or intercepting it.

Hochuli crew is the worst in the league, that was a fumble on schuab

This was irritating me as the last drive was occurring. I'm glad someone else saw it.

I counted 3 separate plays in which Randy Starks was clearly held and yet no call. The play you mentioned was the most aggregious.

that wasnt the only holding penalty on the last drive. porter was being held and he still almost got a sack on the play.... what makes it worse is he was so close to the qb it should have been an OBVIOUS call. the tackles hand and arm were in the middle of porters chest and the tackle was reaching FROM BEHIND porter. the hold prevented a sack..terrible officiating....

I really felt like the Texans were holding the crap out of our defenders all day.

But at the end of the day, if Yeremiah knocks that ball down on 4th down, rather than getting it completely taken away from him, we get out of Houston with a nice W.

Well, I'll add this: if on the Schaub non-fumble the play is reviewed, and it is deemed a pass, notice that the pass hit an offensive lineman in the back. That, I believe, is a penalty. Not sure how many yards, but that would certainly have come in to play in the last 7 secs.

what u expect when you have the worst ref in the league refing he has to miss something. last week he missed an obvious facemask on bush which caused a fumble and they call it a fumble. They guy just isint sure of himself so lets hope he does not ref anymore dolphin games this year. But even with all this Miami should of never put themselves in that situation we couldnt convert on third down all day.

i completely agree with you guys, holding ALL OVER the place, what a let down by hochuli. some damned questionable calls.

This is the most thought out post -- and I really think that is illegal touching? Can someone holier than I please confirm this?

I didn't even realize how many times we got screwed, till I came on here and checked it out.

The positive out of this game, is still our offensive output. We would have killed to put up 28 games and have a QB as efficient as Chad last year.

We need to add a playmaker at CB, LB (for rotation, pass rusher, maybe 3rd rounder), WR (likely draft, perhaps FA, 6'3 220 lbs. that can take over a game), and a safety.

We have the picks next year to get depth and add starters. We will also make some big free agent signings (not the HUGE ones, but ones like we got in Smiley and Starks). Our rookies will be seasoned and we will have a great young team. Buy the long-term plan!

Yes, the NFL refs are incompetent. But we got a freebee as well on Cobbs screen pass for the TD. There was an obvious hold. Also we got away with what could of been pass interference more than once.

One play I noticed a Texan D linemen lined up clearly in the neutral zone, i'm wondering to myself how can the line judge not see this?

I agree that there was awful officiating in a large part of this game, but it's certainly not the reason we lost. We lost because our defense decided not to show up today, outside of Channing.

Agreed, but don't forget that Porter did well and the Offense sputtered until late in the 4th.
