Gibril Wilson as we all know is a liability in coverage. With us going up against the best WR in football, we're going to need to apply pressure on Shaub. Aside from that, we're going to need to get Culver in there as he is our best coverage safety by far. I dont know why this guy has not been playing more. He's only in on obvious passing situations but thats a mistake!

If we want to put pressure on Shaub, then Wilson needs to be in. If we want to cover up Johnson, then Culver or Clemons needs to be in.

It would be clemons and I'm all for giving him a shot against houston, thats a pretty good test for clemons we could see what he's all about right away

Regardless of position, depth, backup etc... culver should be in at starting FS.. his coverage skills are better than anybody on this team outside of Davis, Smith, Jones and maybe J. Allen. Y Bell has gotten better too

i would not feel comfortable starting three rookies in our secondary against Andre Johnson. BUt realistically, Clemons could not be any worse than Wilson.

Clemons plays SS. Bell and Culver are FS.

Sorry your right, I also missed that J.Long plays center, Henne fullback and P.White QB (couldn't help that one, lol!), and we really miss Pennington at NT!

It must be very MERRY at your house right now, nothing wrong with celebrating this early!

Wow, no.

Bell is a SS. Culver is his backup.

Wilson is FS. Clemons is his backup.

Sorry, I meant to say that I thought Culver was the backup FS and Clemons was the backup SS.

I was playing Dirt2 with the buddies so my mind was elsewhere. Anyone know when Gardner will get his shot at WR?

Well Clemons is with Rosenhaus now and if he is put on the field in any capacity other than special teams then he will surely need a contract renegotiation.......................
NEXT question

We could see Culver in dime situations. He has played well when called upon, and I suspect we might be in dime situations more than a few times vs Houston.

It can't be said enough how much of a liability Wilson is in coverage, and his poor tackling is inexcusable. Clemons is better as a rookie than Wilson is as a "veteran" and the sooner we get him more playing time the sooner we start winning these close games that come down to one play. I'd feel more comfortable with Clemons making mistakes than Wilson making the same mistakes over and over and over...
