Tyson Clabo talks trade, potential benching

Here is my thing...the maturation of Ryan Tannehill is SO IMPORTANT. I like the weapons they got for him, but talent on the line was always questionable and they are misfits for what they are being asked to do. Asking John Jerry to run a stretch play is one of the dumbest things I have seen in an NFL game.

By trading for Albert that would have had one of the best pass blocking LT's in the league, Incognito and Pouncey have been good and Martin was okay at RT. That left RG and to this day I do not know why Jerry keeps getting snaps. A. why was this spot not upgraded better in FA/draft and B. Nate Garner would serve to give the athleticism needed at that spot. I know he gets hurt a ton, but who cares at this point. It is not as if he is playing right now.

If Tannehill does not improve this year or gets injured, it sets the team back even longer. Having a bad line does not help this process.

I think he's getting better but it's just going to take time. Whether or not having a ****ty OL will set him back, I don't know, but I can't imagine it's going to be good for him in the long run to get pounded behind awful pass protection for 16 games.

Winston should have been the pick up from the beginning...ZBS experience and Miami Grad.

Actaully Hayden I'm 100% with trading for Albert. It seemed like a no brainer to me, give up a 2nd or 3rd and keep the 12th overall pick, fix the O-line with an estalished vet and still get an impact player (possibly even still pull the trade up depending on which pick you gave up) in the first round. I admit I don't value 2nd and 3rd round picks like others do. Chances are at the end of the day Brandon Albert will be a more important piece to your team then a 2nd and expecially a 3rd rounder will be. Especially right away as we are seeing first hand with Taylor and Davis (who can't get the very crappy Jimmy Wilson off the field). However, I thought I remembered you liking Clabo over Winston even before we signed him? I remember that's what gave me confidence in the move. Also, even has we gotten Albert we'd still have Martin and I think the site is making a big mistake in thinking Martin is that much better then Clabo.

Anybody that thinks Colombo was better that anybody is out of their mind. Winston never had it either, so just ****ing stop!

The only potential silver lining in not trading for Albert is that KC was firm on a second rounder (from all I heard and read), and without that pick we very likely do not get Jordan. In hindsight, it was a lucky non-move instead of good but, works out pretty well.

It's amazing how one move, or the lack of one, makes so many differences to an NFL team.

"I am going to continue to do my job. Which is to do whatever they ask me to do." LOL, has anyone asked him to block yet???

That was funny, can't remember the last time I chuckled at a post in here. Thanks!

Clabo is playing terribly but lets not lie to ourselves.

Jon Martin isn't a turnstile out there. He's not very good, but he's not a turnstile like Clabo. He's grading out "average to slightly below average". Jake Long is not doing well, at all, in St Louis.

Ireland should have definitely traded for Albert. Absolutely. Blah hindsight.

At least he has age as an excuse for being washed up instead of just sucking like Martin does.
martin is still learning and developing this is only his second year, Clabo was drafted in 2004. If martin struggles he can get better Clabo is a vetren and is as good as hes every going to be at this point. Martins struggles could actually help us in the future where Clabos poor play is useless.
