Brazilian police questioned Mike Tyson on Thursday after a TV cameraman accused the boxer of assaulting him in a nightclub, authorities said.

The former heavyweight champion was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, where he could face charges of assault and destruction of property, police spokeswoman Kelly Pinheiro said.

Carlos Eduardo da Silva, 34, a cameraman with Brazilian television network SBT, told police he was trying to film Tyson at a Sao Paulo nightclub early Thursday morning when Tyson pushed him and threw his camera on the ground, Pinheiro said.

Tyson then took the videotape from the camera and put the film in his own pocket, Silva told police.

Boxing needs Tyson right now. The heavy weight division is garbage now with Rahman, Toney, & Ruiz. I wish Tyson would get motivated & train hard, but I know that's just a dream.

He's 39 though. I don't like watching guys that old fight.

i often wonder if people just start faking assault charges around Tyson now....it's so believeable you could get away with it.

People used to do that to Charles Barkley a lot during his playing days. He'd get sued left and right for stuff he didn't do. He was always a visible guy in public. And these *******s would try and provoke him.

About the only thing he DID do was throw that dude through a glass window in Orlando. They asked if he regreted it. Barkley replied, "I regret we weren't on a higher floor."

Yeah, Charles bought everyone a drink at a bar my Dad was in one night. Very accessible in his days as a Sixer, but lets face it. With those Sixer teams he needed a drink every now and then
