Not that impressed, Miller looks better. Those holes were gigantic.

He does look better than Gillislie or Thigpen in my opinion so he has a chance to stick.

He is a big boy too.
 
Not surprised that we picked up Damien Williams. Outside of Andre Williams he seemed like the most natural fit for a zone blocking scheme. Doesn't dance, has a big body, and has good top end speed. He could end up pushing the backs that we have.
 
the kid has good hands. The videos don't show what he can do when the holes are not that big, but it does show that he has good speed, and good and burst.....Let see what he brings to training camp! One thing Hickey has done well while in Tampa, and that is to recognize RB talent.
 
lets be real, this guy wont even see past week 3 in the preseason
 
Can't tell a thing from that video, except that he has decent speed and Oklahoma can really blow open some huge holes. He might be a good runner, but there is no way you can tell anything really from that video.

Dolphins signed Oklahoma RB Damien Williams.

Williams (5-foot-11 1/8, 222) spent just two years with the Sooners before getting kicked off the team last November for multiple team violations. He finished his brief career with 290 carries for 1,499 yards (5.17 YPC) and 18 touchdowns, adding 43 receptions. Williams' off-field issues are plenty, but he has 4.45 speed and short-area burst (10-foot-1 broad jump) with quick feet and a body to handle large workloads. He's also a very good receiver. If Williams can get his head on straight, he could become an intriguing Dynasty sleeper. Knowshon Moreno and Lamar Miller sit weakly atop the depth chart in Miami.
 
If he flashes and can pick up a lb watch out DT.
Also all the WR pick ups probably mean bye bye Thigpen
 
Sounds like the possible answer to our prayers if his head is on straight. If he shines early on, maybe Ross could rent him a baby sitter like Jerry did for Pacman and Dez. :up:
 
Don't we already have a "Damian Williams" on our roster?? Can you have two? We have to have a half back pass during a preseason game just so they can say "and Damien Williams just threw a deep pass to Damian Williams".
 
Could have had Hyde or Carrey. It really punched me in the gut to see SF take Hyde with the pick we traded in the second.
 
The way he moves reminds me of John Avery and I seriously question that 4.45 speed!
