Eric Schwartz, of The Easterner, reports the Miami Dolphins are rumored to have undrafted rookie free agent LB Joey Cwik scheduled for a tryout as a fullback.

Eric Schwartz, of The Easterner, reports the Miami Dolphins are expected to sign undrafted rookie free agent WR Eric Kimble (Eastern Washington), according to the Spokesman Review.
 
Never seen Eastern Washimgton play, alas.
 
Their physical stats are rather unimpressive, we'll see what they do in minicamp.

But they are looking at this guy as a FB...His numbers are very nice for a FB. He just has to learn the position.
 
It's a little funny how in the draft we pay for physical prowess but when it comes to our UDFAs we're chasing guys who do not have great stature but were pretty productive in college.
 
Okay folks. I live in Washington State and my sister did her MS work at Eastern WA. I also have family in Spokane, which is very close. I have seen Kimble play on television a couple times and ... and... I know why we are after him.

First, he was a damn good receiver at his level, but I am not sure how he will be in the pros and sure can't predict whether he makes the team. However, he has nice hands, sure hands, and always came up with clutch catches, which is nice.

We are after him because Randy Meuller is from the northwest and he has close ties with all these schools, Idaho, Washington State, Eastern WA., Central WA. He was a big part of getting John Kitna for Dennis Erickson when with the Seahawks. Kitna went to Central WA. I played football with him there and it is a very small school.

Anyway, I think it is kind of cool we are looking at players from the northwest since I live here and watch the kids play all the time. I am suprised we have not signed the Elliot kid from linfield, the QB, because Meuller has strong ties there also. I think he has a chance at being a decent pro QB.

Anybody have any info on LB David Dixon? There was a thread about him earlier and he seemed to be a very good prospect but haven't heard of anybody signing him.
