You've got 2 great/good fights in:
Liddell/Babalu
Forrest/Bonnar

2 solid fights in:
Franca/Varner
Diaz/Neer

Decent fights in:
Walmsley/Heath
Kongo/Wellisch

The Okami fight could very well be a good fight also. And finally, at the very least, hopefully fights like Macdonald/Schafer and Combs/Gouveia will be entertaining. I think the UFC usually puts mediocre cards out on paper, but come showtime, they end up being some of the best events of the year.

the last PPV was the worst in the history of the company. They need a solid one here. Especially after losing the MAIN EVENT for the Sep PPV

Iceman Cometh!!

At 36 years old the fact this guy rules the world is amazing!

Great showing Liddell!! So now we need to see which of Liddell and Wanderlei Silva is better (no favorites there, but I'm hoping for Liddell).

I know their match has for the moment been canceled, but if you think about it, it was probably the Japanese who canceled it so that the likelihood the two fight at a PRIDE show becomes greater. Well,.. who knows, but I still think that match will be scheduled sometime.

this ppv was awesome like 3 or 4 good fights

i found it interesting that Chuck mentioned Silva post match... maybe it can get done.

also was very bummed to hear that George St Pierre got hurt and had to pull out of his fight with Matt Hughes. besides Silva vs Liddell, thats about the only "must see" fight i can think of right now.

also... thought it was kind of funny Tito mentioned Liddell's gut, because i said the same thing when he was coming out. it looked like he hadnt trained upper body or cardio. wasnt the first time i was wrong.

If you are looking only at UFC guys, I'd personally have a few other must-sees. In welterweight, we need (and I think Dana wanted until he lost to St. Pierre) BJ Penn vs Hughes. I mean that was a totally embarrassing loss for Hughes in their last fight. Penn, the lightweight champ, decides to challenge the welterweight champ and the welterweight champ loses?? OUCH!

Another must-see (for me) is Diego Sanchez vs Hughes. Sanchez is good, real good, but I really want this "still no one can beat me, the unofficial world champ" attitude guy get his *** whooped. I think St. Pierre and Hughes can do it and either Sanchez vs St. Pierre or Sanchez vs Hughes would be fine with me.

But, if you include all MMA guys, then the biggest must-see of them all is Fedor Emelianenko vs Tim Sylvia. I mean no question who wins (Emelianenko is the best of them all), but this would be a welcome slap-in-the-face for UFC to pronounce Sylvia as the world's best heavyweight.

The only other must-see I can think of if you include all MMA is: Dan Henderson vs Matt Hughes. Henderson is the only really good PRIDE welterweight, and though he'd probably lose to Hughes, it's no given.

Once UFC has its lightweight champ crowned, any of the top lightweights in PRIDE (such as Gomi) vs UFC champ would be a must-see. It would also show how far UFC has to go in lightweight (as in heavyweight) to get up to top level.

UFC was smart to call off the Silva-Chuck fight.

UFC had a deal in place to buy Silva's contract. Meaning, there was no risk. If Silva won their belt would stay in UFC. Once PRIDE backed out, then UFC said F' U because they can't risk their champion losing and having their belt in another promotion with no reason for Silva to do anything but throw the belt in the trash.

Not to mention UFC is #1 and Pride is #2, so why should UFC give Pride the rub and make them anything legit. Pride might have better fighters, but they are also on the brink of bankruptcy while UFC is a making money hand over fist.

I wouldn't expect any Chuck-Silva fight anytime soon
