Includes some good fights too:

http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=3578&zoneid=13

"The top four fights on the card are Mirko Cro Cop vs. Gabriel Gonzaga (with the winner fighting Randy Couture this summer), Andrei Arlovski vs. Fabricio Werdum, Ryoto Machida vs. Forrest Griffin, and Michael Bisping vs. Elvis Sinosic."

"If there is a fifth fight on the live Spike TV broadcast, it would likely be Cheick Kongo's fight with Assuerio Silva."

Full fight card:

UFC 70 Line-Up
-Mirko Cro Cop (#2 Heavyweight in the World)* vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
-Andrei Arlovski (#7 Heavyweight in the World)* vs. Fabricio Werdum (#8 Heavyweight in the World)*
-Ryoto Machida vs. Forrest Griffin
-Michael Bisping vs. Elvis Sinosic
-Assuerio Silva vs. Cheick Kongo
-Dennis Siver vs. Jess Liaudin
-Alessio Sakara vs. Victor Valimaki
-Terry Etim vs. Matt Grice
-David Lee vs. TBA
----------------------------------

So, we may be one step away from Couture vs CroCop!!

Should be a good card, but I can see why they arent putting it on PPV....There arent really any big names, and there are zero titles....Its really just an Ultimate Fight Night, on a different day. It will be interesting to see if what kind of numbers it does....

Werdum making his debut is a pretty big story in its own right, and you can change the "may be" in your last sentence to "are"...

EDIT: I just read the article, I guess Im a complete moron. I still think if it was on PPV it would have been a little weak without a belt on the line.....

I bet that's why the UFC was trying to put it on HBO. Because there isn't a belt on the line, I couldn't see paying 40 bucks for it on PPV. I would have bought it if it was 20-25, though.

:woot: Sweet!

Cro Cop and Arlovski both in action. I'll be watching this for sure.

Just an update. Forrest Griffin fight is off. He has a staph infection:

Funny, UFC 70 has some good fights, but none of them interest me as much as the upcoming fight between Diego Sanchez and Josh Koscheck in UFC 69. Both of those guys are serious contenders for the title, not just now but especially in the future (man that welterweight division is loaded!!).
