From the blogs to the Bulldog Club meetings, the debate rages: Where should the Georgia-Florida football game be played?

Should it remain in Jacksonville, its traditional home? Or move to the campuses? Or to the Georgia Dome on occasion?
“It really is a hot-button topic,” Evans said. “You sit there and say, ‘Whatever you do, Damon, maybe you should just do [a contract] for a long period of time so you don’t have to deal with it anymore.’

that is my favorite game weekend all year and if it gets changed to the fugging georgia dome i will eat all the babies. there's nothing quite like the landings after a florida win.

you gotta alternate between Jacksonville and Atlanta. Jacksonville is pretty much a home game for UF. I think you have to give that to UGA every other year.

i would agree...

If you are going to do that then why not just alternate between campuses?

Is it much farther to Jacksonville for UGA than UF? UF just travels well wherever they play.

We we all know that Florida always tries to dodge quality opponents.

It's not a home game for Florida unless we fill the stadium full of Florida fans... They 50 - 50 the fans so it's a neutral site. Big deal one team has to travel 3 to 4 hours compaired to 1 hour...

But when we have to play them for a National Title we show how easily we can dispose of them.

Because you haven't played anyone in a national title game yet lol. Alabama was a tougher out than Oklahoma. The Big 12 was highly overrated last season. No one played any defense. Everyone was so impressed with the offenses...that's because no one in the Big 12 had a defense as good as even South Carolina lol. Pathetic defenses in the Big 12.

And don't even get me started on Big 10 football. Might as well be playing Clemson for a national title.

I'm not saying Florida isn't a great team on both sides of the ball, but when you schedule cupcakes and dodge quality opponents, I expect you to get to the national title. When was the last time Florida traveled outside of the South? When was the last time they traveled out to the West Coast like Tennessee did against UCLA or Georgia against Arizona State. When was the last time Florida wanted to play us before last season when they were almighty and we were just another average team? 2003 Peach Bowl doesn't count either because you guys didn't have a choice but to play us.

Didn't we travel to Arizona to play Ohio State?? That would be 2008!! Also, that same year we had one of the top 3 toughest schedules. Yeah I'll say last year our schedule was cupcake, but it wasn't cupcake enough to put us behind Texas in the rankings so we could play in the BCS Championship. The only team last year that I could see beating us in the Championship game would have been USC.

Come on...Arizona...Ohio State. That's a title game man. Like you're going to turn that down. Florida was damn near 10 point underdogs in that game and I was telling fools not to piss away their paychecks on Ohio State because they were about to get rolled up. Go take some West Coast road trips during the season. Schedule Oregon. Schedule Cal. Go to Arizona State. Play Colorado. Go pick on Wisconsin. But travel outside of the SEC for a change. Don't hand me Arizona for a title game.

And by the way, Texas played a cupcake schedule as well. Texas can complain all they want about beating Oklahoma and being left out of the Big 12 title game but it's their own damn fault.

Yeah I honestly didn't know how that Championship game was going to turn out. When Ginn ran that kickoff back I thought it was going to be a long night! Well man if I was the coach I wouldn't mind throwing a team from the Pac 10 on my schedule... I don't really know why Meyer's wont do that. Because if Florida really wanted to solidify a top 1 or 2 seed they would put a team like USC or Arizona on their schedule. I see you're point on traveling outside the SEC... But honestly what team travels outside of their conference on a regular basis?
