UGH! Thanks NFL.com

Severval of our new coaches have sighted Miami strong finish and not quiting as one of the reasons they were excite to come here. If we had gone 0 and 16 like you wanted we may be drafting Luck but who would want to take over THAT team?

Sickening...

Thanks for the 6 wins this year guys. We're in a great position to improve at quarterback now, and actually have a chance to have a winning season at some point in the next 7 years... Oh, wait.

Whats sickening or more like baffeling, is that you REALLY think MIA was the worst team in the NFL. That MIA wouldn't or couldn't win 6 games. The fact you think professional football players were gonna lay down for some 'fan' thinking, to draft Luck.

You have seriously gone of the deep end and taken your whining to a new level. Good Job.:lol2:

Not saying that professional football players should ever or WOULD ever "lay down". My point is that it's pretty goddamn frustratring to be mired in mediocrity forever. Unless we get Peyton, we have almost 0 shot to improve at QB next year. Feel good about that?

we'd be better off right now going forward had we in fact been able to pull off suck for luck...but most you guys will probably never realize that...6 wins or 0 wins...both worthless and meaningless going forward...unless you want to try and change the outlook of your franchise by acquiring the draft rights to the top rated college to pro qb since john elway

but our loss is indys gain...

Interesting find. Hindsight is 20/20 in the main forum. Thank you Finheaven VIP

Yeah it would be hindsight except for the fact that I really wanted Drew Brees and was really pissed when we traded for Culpepper until my (long since gone) homerism took over... I was also a SFL guy post week 4 so nothing I said was hindsight at all.

Ya, having the #1 pick in the draft would be a real burden for picking up a head coach.
I can see Luck scarring off potential HC's....not

Potential for possibly picking up a better HC that was hesitant because of our QB..
Not that I'm disappointed in our pickups at this point.
I'm happy with the unknown, for the known has been a nightmare for the last decade and with the new staff comes new hope .... maybe our luck has changed..................maybe

I unlike you, think MIA is a 9 win team, right now. Added pieces moving forward will push us up the ladder. This isn't homerism speaking, this is what I think. I said after 08 MIA was a smoke and mirrors team with a soft schedule, and would take a step back in 09...even called out the record preseason.

As for improvements at QB. You think Peyton is coming back 100%, where as I don't think so. So even acquiring Peyton is no guarantee at this point, and neither is Luck.

But again, Professional athletes aren't going to lay down to please the likes of a fan base such as yourself. If anything you and the other SFL crowd, motivated them to win. So when its all said and done, the congratulations rest on your shoulders.:brewskis:

9 wins? This team has no secondary outside of Vontae, no pass rush outside of Wake and is in a transitional year defensively (which is usually not good). We have no right side of the offensive line, no real consistent running game and no deep threat at receiver... I didn't even mention that Matt Moore is the definition of mediocre, and I don't even think that Matt Flynn is an improvement over Moore. Even Moore had a few big games against bad defenses just like Flynn did.
We don't have a chance at RG3 unless we trade 4 high picks or more, and I don't even like Tannehill. I think that Brandon Weeden can be a good player but I don't want to draft him in the first (even if we do trade down) and I'm not sure that he lasts to us in the 2nd round anyway.

So honestly, our only chance to improve (because of our worthless draft position) is to do whatever it takes to get Peyton. If he's not healthy for us and it's a trainwreck, oh well, we finally can get a real QB prospect in Barkley.
I am of the opinion that this team will never be consistently good until we get a real QB, and if it takes a 2 win season for that to happen then oh well.
