Who's your ultimate #1 sleeper?

I say Brandon Albert, LG from Virginia.

I know Parcells and Sparano see a 1st rounder this high contributing immediately, and maybe Albert needs to learn first, but that doesn't mean he can't learn under fire while starting 16 at the LT spot.

It's REALLY unlikely, but every two cents in this thread will be argued that way. Unless someone drops Keith Rivers out there, Albert is the ultimate longshot. However, I've watched film of this guy and I think he's more impressive than Long, even though I also think Long is #1 worthy.

I think Darren McFadden is another #1 sleeper. So is Vernon Gholston.

Basically anyone other than the two Longs and Matt Ryan.

Heck, I even consider Glenn Dorsey a sleeper at #1.

Any interesting thoughts?

SR 7 hands down. 6'4 228 STrongest arm in the draft, amazing accuracy adn awareness with Romo/Josh Johnson type speed to escape. Can't go wrong.

I agree that Brandon Albert will be better than Long in the NFL if he chooses to play left Tackle. If we do pick a Tackle with the first pick I hope it is Brandon Albert.

Brandon Albert and Keith Rivers are about as far away from being sleepers as you can get. You want to talk about sleepers then players like Brandon Keith, Xavier Omon, Kroy Biermann, Lex Hillard and Bryant Johnston are ones you should be talking about.

theres no chance albert or rivers will be #1. its a question whether albert can play OT, much less LT. rivers is good, but not great.

gholston has been sought after, so i wouldnt call that a sleeper. after the drop off, id consider dorsey as a sleeper for the pick though.

that is a funny thought that even i have thought about. i dont like it, if we were going to target him i would trade to like down to like 15 or so, mabey earlier and take like a third also. the only thing that gives this merit is the fact that there arent a lot of gaurds in the draft but a lot of tackles. that way go albert with one and cherilus or baker or nicks at 32 and sure up our oline. what i rather do is take jake first then trade our 2nd and like a third next year for a pick b4 pitt and pick him with that pick. but i doubt either will happen, good thought, but at one that is rediculous

that video is suppose to do what? he was actually UNIMPRESSIVE in the video.

i think he has good potential by the way he can move for a big man, but he has more work to do then some people realize IMO. i wouldnt pick him with a top 15 pick, in the 20s...yes.

That video was to let people see him and evaluate for themselves, as you just have.

As for him in the top 15, watch him be this year's Levi Brown.

Either to the Chiefs or Pats.

BO KNOWS

So a guard will make a great LT because he played there a couple of times but the guy who played there for 4 years and dominates the position isn't good enough. Well lets find the best WR in it's class and see if he'll make a great QB!

CB Zack Bowman- Has everything you look for in a CB. Stock dropped after knee injuries but he looked good at the combine. If he drops into the late rounds, he'll be a steal.

OLB Kroy Biermann- Division 1-AA player. Extremely productive. Played against lesser talent but absolutely dominated. Would be a great gamble with a later pick.

DT Frank Morton- I love this guy. He's huge and very strong. Would be a great run clogger and could probably be had for a late pick. Jason Shirley is another name to keep in mind as a late round NT although he comes with a tainted background.

OT Tony Hills- Was one of the best left tackles in college football. Stock dropped after injury. I see this guy starting in the NFL. I don't think he'll drop past the 4th rd though.

Who's your ultimate #1 sleeper?

Pierre Garcon, WR, MOUNT UNION DIV 3
5'11 7/8,210 LBS

4.42/4.48- 40 yard dash times-11th fastest out of 55 receivers at the combine

6th out of 55 receivers in the 20 yard shuttle at the combine

4th out of 55 receivers in the vertical at the combine

7th in the broad jump out of 55 receviers at the combine

3rd in the bench press with 20 reps out of 55 receivers at the combine.

A true work out warrior but put up outstanding numbers all 4 years (against marginal competition)

He has good size and bulk, great body control and ball skills.Strong and physical, good blocker, runs well after the catch and is most of all productive.

He is my choice of a "real sleeper" who could just be something special.

As for some of the names being thrown around like Albert
or Rivers...Come on,these guys are not sleepers in any sense of the word...Find me the next MARQUES COLSTON

2004...44 Receptions-1017 yards-23.1 avg-13tds
2005...68 receptions-1196 yds-17.6 avg-16tds
2006...67 receptions-1212 yds-18.1 avg-17 tds
2007...67 receptions-955 yds-14.3 avg-14 tds

Since the thread has turned into a support/bash Branden Albert thread, I'm gonna change my sleeper to Darren McFadden.

I actually think there's a possibility the Phins Brass just take the BPA.

I wouldn't be too unhappy being that none of the other prospects really impress me more than this gentleman. And I know all the "his legs die on contact" talk. Well, how about he just avoids contact for as long as possible. Long enough to get to the endzone?

I remember watching him playing LSU in overtime. I think it was a 4th down and he took a sweep 13 yards for the TD, or something like that.

Not bad.
