FYI..If you missed it ?? USA TODAY's sports weekly ultimate preseason guide is out till the week of June 26th, they rank the teams as of now, post draft..(overall power rankings)...a very nice read if you can still get one.
Patriots
Power Ranking: 6th
Strength of schedule: T25th .473
Last years record:10-6... 1st in AFC East
Outlook: The Patriots should have enough to hold off the hard-charging Dolphins and win their fourth consecutive division crown. But expect their playoff road to be blocked for the second consecutive season as they lose in the divisional round.
Dolphins
Power Ranking:15th
Strength of schedule: 26th .469
Last years record:9-7.. 2nd in AFC East
Outlook: The Dolphins have improved their depth, which will be a major help if the team can't avoid the injuries that hit in 2005. Still, whether the Dolphins make a super Bowl push depends on when Daunte Culpepper returns as an elite quarterback.
Jets
Power Ranking: 30th
Strength of schedule: 27th .465
Last Years record: 4-12... 4th in AFC East
Outlook: With all their question marks, a 7-9 finish would be impressive. More likley, expect the Jets to finish 6-10 or 5-11 as they build from the ground up. Their progress shouldn't be measured in victories this season.
Bills
Power Ranking: 32nd
Strength of schedule:T-23rd .477
Last Years record: 5-11.... 3rd in AFC East
Outlook: Marv Levy and Dick Jauron staunchly believe it takes offense, defense and special teams to win but, they took over a 5-11 team that lacks star power, especially at quarterback. That won't be turned around in one off season.
