I'll be honest here I haven't seen Foles play in the pros. He was good at Arizona and what he's doing in the pros is pretty damn impressive. That being said he would probably get killed behind our Oline.

Namath was clutch in one big game and this is why he is in the Hall of Fame. What's a shame is you look at Kenny Stabler stats, and some other QB's, and they had better stats than Namath, and are not in the Hall. I was watching a show about the Hall of Fame on the NFL Network, and the Raider players all feel there is a conspiracy against guys like Stabler, Tim Brown, Ray Guy and others, and they think the voters hate them because they played for the Raiders.

I never really saw him play, I have researched a lot of the older QBs though. I think Bob is kind of underrated b/c he wasn't a mad bomber.

I don't think Stabler or Brown belong but Ray Guy should get in- his bias is against K/Ps

Joe Namath and Bob Griese were both great quarterbacks. Just because they never put up "Star Wars" type of numbers doesn't mean they weren't great.
You need to consider the eras they played in.
In any era 47 more INts than TDs and only 2 playoff apps is not great. Joe had all time physical tools but his body betrayed him and durability counts. If healthy I have no doubt he is a top 10-15 all time QB but he's nowhere near that now and really only belongs in the Hall for what he meant to the game not what he actually accomplished.
Nameth is in the Hall of Fame because he made the NFL more popular, his stats were pretty comparable with players of his era, he was a pioneer of the position and the Hall of Fame is about.....FAME and Joe Willie Nameth is one of the most famous QBs to play the game...also guaranteeing Super Bowl 3 doesn't hurt...
He was huge in his day, one of the first celebrity athletes and he helped make the game what it is today. I agree that is why he is in.

Very true. I think we only passed the ball around 10 times in our Superbowl win against the Redskins. We ran Csonka, Mercury Morris and Kiick down the other team's throats. Smash Mouth Football. Football was a much different game back then.

This post draft theories I find very amusing. Do you know the odds of a third round QB, becoming a FRANCHISE QB? And base on what are we needs we needed, it was either Tannehill or Michael Floyd..
When you have sucked so bad at the QB position for over a decade, you don't wait until the third round to draft your franchise, especially after this type of workout..

All Foles has is really good stats.
That doesn't mean he's playing well.
Of course it does. Foles is playing great. All we are doing is attributing a system that takes advantage of personnel, and is uncommon to many NFL teams. RG3 for example. He had great stats last year, he played great as well. Now they are concerned about his injury, the system changed, and there you have it. This is something that football people take notice of that's only seen OUTSIDE the stats, as in something you wouldn't understand....

Here we go. Next year we will be seeing threads like "Fire Ireland he passed on Nick Foles for (Egnew right)" Come on I liked Foles coming out of college but I didn't think he would be this great. They drafted Barkley after Foles so maybe in practice he wasn't that great.
