I was reading on here that the Dolphins weren't able to complete a trade for Trent Green... does this mean that we're not going to trade for him?

I am sure something will happen soon or later. Either they will accept our offer of the 6th pick, they pay him the 7.2 million for 2007 or they just release him. That is what may happen. I like Miami's stance here. Either take the 6th or you end up releasing him for nothing.....take that or pay the guy 7.2 million. Peterson is such a tool.....lol

I read on a KC board that alot of KC fans really dont like that GM over there

His days are numbered....mark my words. He isnt very smart and this thing with Green will only blow up in his face. He has no leverage whatsoever here. He is gonna end up losing a pick because he is acting stupid.

If we were so sure they're going to release him though, why wouldn't we just wait until he gets cut and sign him for 0 picks?

I am pretty sure that is what our breass is waiting on. I think they are calling Petersons bluff on this. Time will tell.....just be patient is all I can say..

Green is right when he says he's confident that he knows 90% of the offense we'll run right now, and that he can come in and start even if they wait until the last possible second to release him. Thing is - pretty much everyone agrees with him. KC knows he can, we know he can (though of course, the sooner he's here the better). KC has no leverage, they were stupid during the draft and they're being stupid now. At this point, either KC capitulates or we call their bluff and wait till Green is cut.

I almost have more questions reguarding Green's ability than I do C-Pep's... He may know 90% of the playbook, but when he came back for KC last year after the concussion, he stunk... and that was behind one of the best o-lines in the NFL.

yes, let's wait so we can see if Daunte is for real when he says he'll be ready for the june mini-camp.

I'm still in Daunte's corner. He's going to be elitie.

I agree with you. He may know 100% of the offense and it may not matter. The first time he gets sacked (and he will) he may get another concussion. At that point it'll be bring on the back up time.

Could we please put a stop to the assumption that KC had a great OL last year.

There great line began dissipating three years ago and last year they had Kyle Turley starting. Turley was cut from the Dolphins camp trying to make it back in the NFL as a TE. He only weighed like 280 or less. He can't carry the weight he used to due to back injuries.

The cheifs offensive line last year totally stunk it up in pass protection and I'm not really sure that LJ didn't get most of his yards on his own.

THE OLD KC LINE IS GONE, STOP SAYING THEY HAD A GREAT LINE. THEY DIDN'T. THEY HAVEN'T HAD A GREAT LINE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW.
THAT'S IN THE PAST.

Turley was what Dr. Z calls a "WGSK" tackle - "Will Get Somebody Killed". He almost did too!

which ever team gives in a little will get heavily critized. Nothing more than a 7th. We can just wait until he gets dropped. He already knows 80-90 percent of our plays according to his interview on MMQB.

If businesss logic prevails, Green will be dolphin no later than sometime in June. If it does not, and Peterson keep Green we start Lemon and have Beck as 2nd. If we get Green we could be competitive. I see us struggling with Lemon and Beck.

I NEVER considered DC an elite QB, average at best. And don't give me those probowl stats, even and average QB can have a few good years. Also, I don't see DC's knee returning to playing status, maybe good for everyday life but not NFL football.
