I'll have to disagree with you on that. Click the link at the top of the page and see for yourself. It's around 7:20 on the link. Hartline has to slow up to make the catch and the DB breaks up the pass.

Looks like Hartline was 2 yards behind defender but had to wait on ball which was broken up when defender caught up.
The pass was launched at the 36 and landed on the 10. Only 54 yards in the air when it should have been about 60 to be completed clean.

That ball went right through his hands. If you're asking for an absolutely perfect pass on every deep throw then I'll have to disagree with you and ask you to show me one QB in the HISTORY of the NFL that has done that...all I need is for you to show me one QB. Every pass. Perfect. That ball was a good pass and Hartline only slowed up a little...it still went through his hands.

I guess you're going to tell me the deep pass to Sims the week before was on Tannehill too...I guess Tannehill is going to have to run all the way downfield and place the ball in the arms of his receiver before we call it a perfect deep pass.

i dio think hartline checked up just slightly but i also think it went right thru his body before that diving db got a hand on him...and if i recall correctly that ball was 65 yards in the air...definitely something to check again

that's what i thought although i guess i misjudged the distance the ball was in the air...would be nice if hartline or any of these damn wrs would reach up and get the ball with their damn hands...well landry will...maybe mathews...maybe gibby...not wallace or hartline though

Not a perfect throw but Hartline is allergic to scoring TDs. It is known khaleesi.

Hartline has to slow up to make the catch and the ball hits his hands but the DB breaks it up. I guess that qualifies as a drop. Undoubtedly, you like to see your starting #2 WR come up with that catch. Again that's not an easy throw for any QB, but there is no disputing that the ball was behind Hartline..

i would too but will gordon catch the ball??? 3 catches last year but i get that he hasnt been asked to...and i dont think theres a shot in hellicopter sticks that gurley gets anywhere near us...gordon is a jamaal charles and chris johnson mix...and this year he looks like he added some weight for running inside...even though some of that top end speed has been scraped as a result...the quick acceleration is filthy

and this team needs a true 3 down mike who is an athlete bad

His acceleration through the hole is rare. Also has the power to run between the tackles and outstanding short area quicks and make-miss ability. That's a pro bowl running back right there. And if you check the LSU film which I can post if needed, he absolutely stones a blitzer in pass pro and pancakes him. There is one play where he took a bad angle in pass pro in that game, but his 3 down abilities have improved without a doubt. Also, when you said you liked how I said the last INT for Tannehill was meaningless, was that sarcasm or were you serious? It was hard to tell.

Gordon has really good vision as well. Eric Kendricks appears to be the top MLB in the draft. I think he's a solid 2nd round pick. I asked Slimm this because I personally didn't evaluate his older brother Mychal much out of college, but he told me that Eric's only area where he is better is instincts in pass coverage.

If you're looking for a willy, I really like Shaq Thompson. Not on Lavante David or Shazier's level.. but looks to be a very good starting WILL backer.

The ball went through his arms...by the time the DB swatted down on Hartline the ball was almost to the ground...I slowed down the video and watched it. Hartline slows up to catch that ball...it's not behind him...behind him suggests he had to stop or turn around to catch it and that's not the case here...he slows down...ALERT...that's pretty common in the NFL. Hartline has to make that catch...the problem I have is that everyone is expecting Tannehill to make a perfect deep throw every time...and the receivers are getting no accountability for their failure to help the QB out. I know if the throw is not perfect to Wallace he's not making the play downfield. Now some of Tannehill's throws have been so bad the receiver doesn't even get a chance to make a play on the ball downfield...I know that...but many of these misses fall on the receivers not making plays on their end. Hartline catches the ball it's six whether he slows down or not...he's 7 yards from the end zone, still running even though not in full stride, he scores. Wallace has enough awareness on the deep ball in game 1 to keep both feet inbounds it's 6...Sims catches the deep ball in game 1 it's 6. Tannehill can't make these guys catch the ball...at some point they have to make plays too.

You know we lead the league in dropped balls so far and that's not all on Tannehill either.
