No he didn't play bad, but at some point you need a quarterback to win a game for you...look what Jay Cutler did against the 49ers.

I didnt see it myself, but someone else posted that they noticed RT jumping up n down in anticipation of a long ball catch. If that's true...that's just not good. That shows he wasnt confident as the ball left his grip. Concerning to say the least!
The one against the Pats where Wallace didn't keep his feet inbound.
Fair enough. I think that one is much more on Tannehill. Outside of Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, Julio Jones, and Dez Bryant, I don't think there's a WR in the NFL that makes that play better than half the time - and that's forgetting that he smoked Revis to get open on the play (which probably only Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones - from that group of 4 - would accomplish). Tannehill has to keep that ball in bounds.
Not even as a tanne supported or a wallace basher.
That was a dime he was flushed out and put it in bounds
Wallace didnt keep track of his feet and watched the ball...
Not a bad play on either part.

nonsense. That was a routine play.
Ok so I just got done...nice work...like how you pointed out ball placement on shoulders for smoke screens for proper rac opps good and bad...liked how you talked about the drifting and sliding in the pocket instead of what we talked about shuffling and resetting...rarely Resets after he's moved off his mark...I think that this is just a part of him as a player not always gonna throw off an even platform same stuff you saw in college...I know of other qbs with big arms who do the same also and are paid like franchise guys...if his arm wasn't so strong I think I'd be more concerned about it but it definitely effects the things you said velocity and accuracy...timing better be good coming out or those things can go the other way...
Couple points yeah I Agree one hand on the ball a lot in the pocket I don't fault him much though when he has to make a hard lateral move after finishing his drop placing the ball in one hand to avoid the first rusher up the middle I think that's kind of natural and you are more elusive and I think quicker by doing so than if you had two hands on the ball...I don't know either way it's not a career breaker by any means...does carry the ball in one hand on roll outs etc I mean just what he is as a qb...
I took issue with the 9:49 3rd quarter I think it was take...the read is spot on he's 10 yards off coverage outside leveraged db no safety in the middle of the field Mathews needs to drive on that outside leveraged db hard get him to open his hips and then make a hard cut to the inside into the open field in the middle again with no safety...I thought the route was a little lazy by Mathews he kind of rounded out his cut and didn't really drive on the db but the ball was still placed on the front side shoulder if it's placed slightly in front and the route is run cleaner the db can't drive on it...that should be 6 points off the presnap read if the timing route and ball placement are all of good quality...on your analysis you said it was gibby I guess cause the announcer said it was to Gibson incorrectly...what may have hurt that route more than anything was the db was a full 10 yards off so it's hard to get the guy to open his hips prior to that in cut when he's giving you that much cushion in that tight a field...
Maybe had gibby drove on it more and sold it better the db wouldn't have been so flat footed and sitting on it...I don't know...I just know the read was spot on presnap alignment wise
I really like the 4th quarter 10:42 remark..my read on it exactly...there is absolutely growth as far as climbing the pocket...stepped up nicely and avoided a clean Kyle williams and gained 5 yards with it...I can tell also you understand what a sack on the qb is as in his doing...climbing the pocket and getting engulfed by inside pressure after being forced to do so is not on the qb...
4th quarter 3:41 I'm glad you called that what it was...a hartline drop in the middle of the field...not surprised...he was worried about contact was going to ground to avoid it even if he had caught it..need to run thru the ball there and not be a puss...
Nice work again...look forward to this each week
Also hoops.. I know it know it was Bowling Green but 253 on 13 carries and 5 TDs. Melvin Gordon is special.
nonsense. That was a routine play.
people will probably bang tannehill for missing wallace on the double move in the corner of the end zone but trent green called it right wilfork was closing enough where he couldnt set his feet and deliver on it and it was slightly too far outside...had he been able to set his feet and thrown it that far outside yeah i'd have marked that one as a bad play by the qb
this team needs to trust the protection if it keeps up at the level it did yesterday and work more vertical routes and longer developing ones...double moves etc...but they'll want to get some good solid protection tape before they go to too much of it i'd say...
this week though against the bills i would not be working much longer developing stuff other than off pa and max protect type
Hoops and I disagree on Tannehill, but he isn't making up stuff.
