Does anyone in here know how much this guy is worth?....and if he is generous or a penny pincher? It would be nice to know before we get ahead of our selves and think that we will spend all this money...I really hope he has some steinbrenner of the yankees in em.

He's worth a great deal on paper, but he's not very liquid. It was a near thing that the NFL even let him buy the Dolphins. The Dolphins are far from the worst off team in the case of an uncapped year, but let's face it; We're not New York, New England or Dallas.

An uncapped year helps others more than it helps us.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?...I'm not a happy camper right now.:ohno:

i think this is why we brought in so many owners is because of the uncapped year with how many owners we have i think we are set pretty good. the seahawks have the richest owner

Stephen Ross worth 2.9 Billion (on paper of course) I think he is the second richest owner behind Paul Allen of the Seahawks. He is #110 out of 400 richest Americans according to Forbes

He is worth more than all three of those owners, just don't know how much cash on hand he has.

I don't know specifically, but like I said; There was a great deal made about the NFL being cautious about selling to him, because of his lack of liquid capital. I believe most of his money is in real estate IIRC. Like I said; We're not going to be the big wheeler dealers in FA like some think we will be in an uncapped year.

look how we spent money last year thats not my worry, my worry is cutting Allen, Porter, Wilson, Torbor, Anderson, and trading ginn and possibly Crowder.

signing - Dansby or Ryans, Bryant, Marshall, Rolle/Bethea/Atogwe/Collins.

maybe he could trade some properties for some players. lol I'm sure he is cash strapped with the current economic situation, but that is subjective, he may only have 500 mil or so in cash (I feel sorry for him) or he may very well have only 50 mil in cash available. He definitely has more cash than Huizenga did.

Look at all the deals he has done just within the organization this past year. Stadium naming rights (twice) minority ownerships (for flash and cash) so I think Ross knows what it will take to win. Give the Big Tuna a blank check and put his trust in him.

Stephen Ross is a businessman. He will base his expenditures for the Dolphins on the income the Dolphins bring in. He would be foolish to sacrifice income from other ventures to offset his expenses for the Dolphins.

The uncapped year can hurt small market teams and if it does happen, I have doubts about the cap ever being reinstated unless they can devise revenue sharing from the big market teams to share with the small market teams.

Owners have to be careful not to overspend for the 2010 season or they'll face the same problems that NHL teams faced when they had to scale back their payrolls.

I think that by having so many transplants, the S. Florida fan base is more "fair weather" than most team fan bases out there. Some teams will sell out all their seats whether they have a crap team or a good team, and we aren't really one of those teams. So I think there's a bigger return for the Phins spending money this year than say Dallas or NY. Just hope Ross realizes that too.

You cannot buy a championship in the NFL. Ask Dan Snider how that worked out for him over the years..

IMO, if the NFLPA and owners allow an uncapped year, it is going to be very detrimental especially if the salaries are out of control and they try to institute a cap afterwards.

Just saying....

Expect the Pats, Cowboys, and Redskins to be spending tons of money. This is going to suck.
