With the superbowl being in Dallas next year you can bet your a$$ that Jerry Jones is gunna do everything he can to get the Cowboys a home SuperBowl.

But which other teams do you think will spend alot of money? Do you think Steven Ross will open up the check book to take advantage of the uncapped season?

Im not exactly sure of the rule, but under the old CBA we will be operating under for 2010, I am pretty sure the last 6 teams in the playoffs are restricted in a sense to sign FA's. I think they have to lose one of their own to be able to sign anyone new.

If true, Dallas will have that issue. (so will the Jests)

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I wasnt aware of that. I do no that any unrestricted FA is now a RFA.

Well, any 4 year player that would normally be unrestricted (like braylan edwards) will now be a RFA. They have to be in the NFL 6 years to be a UFA (like Casey Hampton).

Im not sure what teams will be overly active, from what I can see the FA market wont have a whole lot of great talent.

If I were a GM faced with an uncapped year I would take advantage by not signing marginal players to crazy money but looking up my best young players to long term deals this wont effect the '10 season but Im sure once a CBA is in place teams wont be hurt for the way their salary structure at that time.

I would also look to trade some fringe veteren players, in other words say my team was 7-9,8-8,9-7 with luck the win total could be 1-3 games difference I would use the uncapped year as a way to over inflat the value of some signed players.
My team could go from 7-9 to 10-6 with improvement or 3-4 better players but if I can sign the best player at a postion of need(say I want Marshall but he is RFA) I would use my roster to improve my drafting postions I would sacrafice the chance to win 1-2 more games vs the oppurtunity to get younger and better.

I would use the uncapped year to my advantage some teams will look to acquire talent by any means, if they cant sign a player they will trade for him and over pay kinda using other teams greed to my advantage.

The final 8 teams cant sign a FA unless they lose one. It also has to be for a similar amount of money, so there is that limit too that gets overlooked. Like if they lose a #3 WR that had a $1 Million yearly salary[to make it simple], they can't sign an expensive #1 WR for $4 million, it would have to be someone who would take a similar amount of money.
