Found an article from the mothership. Tim Graham talks about how well the Fins play in December under Sparano.

The Dolphins have a reputation for not being able to win in cold weather, illustrated by the fact they're 13-29 in December road games since 1988 and have only four winning records in December since 1993.

But the Dolphins have shown they can win in December under coach Tony Sparano.

The Dolphins are 5-0 in December games under coach Tony Sparano.

The way I look at it the playoffs began when we lost to Buffalo. Hopefully we can keep the streak going. If not and we lose even one more game, I feel we will be on the outside of the playoffs looking in.

VERY refreshing considering how the Dolphins were the epitome of falling apart late in the season. I hope the Fins and Sporano kick *** this December again!

This is more myth than truth. In sabans 1st year we won I believe our last 4 or 5 games. Last year we were really goog down the stretch. In between sabans 1st year and last year we were just a bad team all around. Besides players and coaches change that's why I don't get into trends that happen over 5 yrs ago. When your out on that field you adapt.

Can't they let this play out? He's been HC for ONE December. They did a great job last year and are off to a good start this year but it's a little soon to proclaim how good they are in December. Get through these last 4 3-1 or 4-0 then I'll agree.

The article also points out winning on the road in dec. Let's also keep in mind they beat an awful KC team, an awful Buf team and a dead Jet team last December and this year they play 2 road games in warmer weather Cities.

Yeah, I'm with nyjunc on this one. While I will say playing a divisional opponent on the road is tough regardless of how awful or dead they are, I will hold out calling the Dolphins "Decembererists" until after this year. If we go 4-0 or 3-1, then sure, but not yet.

1 of the reasons i think under sparano we play good in december is cause from dec 7th -jan 7th its the month of the rat(1st chinese sign in chinese astrology) sparano is an ox and ox n rat r a great match

also the 1972 dolphins won in a rat year
im also a rat

I agree with you on the letting this play out part 100%. But we just beat a dead Patriots team, wait wat?

San Diego is 14-0 in their last 14 games in December, now thats something to write about.

Because when you sucked as bad as Miami has in December the past 30 years everyone looks for any glimmer of hope.

So 5-0 looks like 50-0 right now to the would-be journalists.
