Undrafted Linebackers

Vigil will be our starting MLB by the halfway point of this year.

I wanted Hull to have a massive game tonight so there's no doubt he sticks on the roster, but he was solid as always. He should make the 53. It would be a mistake to drop him because he won't make the PS.

Neville definitely should be stashed and developed. Might as well stash Luc too though his potential is limited.

I am completely unimpressed with this bunch. Of course some could develop in yr 3, but I dont care abt watching this bunch develop, i need them to play well now.

Vigil needs to get in the rotation this season. He's ready. Now.

Hull and Tripp should make the 53 as well.

Luc should get PS

Hewitt might get the PS, but that might be too many LB on the team.

I like all of them but I do think they all benefit from our d-line.....you put these same guys behind a weaker d-line and I don't think they show as well as they have....

Cut paysinger and or Shepard.

I'm hoping they cut Paysinger.. He does nada.

Shep has to stay because he has exp..that is it. I'd start Vigil over him in a heartbeat and let him learn on the fly, but it's not my call.

as a DC and lb coach and played college linebacker, its hard to be good without a good line. cant make plays with o lineman all over you.

People on this board have been talking about these guys since we signed them and they have all been invisible in the games I've seen. Clearly not every reserve LB we have is a future star since there have been horrible and constant lapses in gap coverage in the second half of every preseason game but this last one.

If Fins 3rd and 4th string QBs could actually sustain a drive that would help the scoreboard. Vigil and Hull have made a fair amount of TFL and Luc FF + laid a dude out tonight

Luc and Hewitt are not future stars, that is almost certain, but the way Vigil moves.. He may be one of those UDFA gems we're used to seeing. Definitely flashes.

Hull can be a solid starter in this league, eventually. I just think he's not ready yet. Let him play some ST, bulk up and learn from the bench this season. Like we did Tripp.

Either way you cut it... We need a ILB early in the next draft.. CB and LB have no depth whatsoever.

Obviously the DL affects the play of the LBs, but these guys aren't playing behind Suh. They're playing behind backups. Considering Vigil has consistently outperformed most everyone else on the team this preseason, I'm not sure why some of you are so unimpressed. Believing in his ability to improve I feel more comfortable with him starting at MLB than I do Sheppard or Misi.

Im not impressed with Misi and Sheppard either. I dont think Misi is ready based on that missed tackle on Hester last week. This group may even be weaker as a unit than the Oline.

Yeah I saw Luke Kuechly miss several tackles against us. I wonder if he's ready...
