I am not making excuses for the Dolphins performance up to this point but how much of their struggles can be tied to the terrible schedule they have this year? With only 3 true home games through 11 weeks, how road-weary are they? Will they show some life with 4 of the last 5 games at home?

At this point, none of this coaching staff should be brought back next year. The front office needs to step in and dictate that they are going to evaluate talent and open up the playbook rather than allow Lazor to continue with this crap. In fact, I wouldn't be upset in the least if he was let go today and they promoted someone with a more flexible scheme to call the plays the rest of the season. Watching Campbell roll over and allow this to happen shows that he is not HC material. His promotion was a short-lived bump for the team (although I am happy that I got to see one of the two good games in person when they blew out Houston).

The team also needs to identify who the leaders are on both sides of the ball. Who is going to hold the rest of the squad accountable going forward? Who is going to get in someone's face when they miss a tackle, drop a pass or play with less than 100% effort>

I don't agree, our schedule was custom made for us to make the playoffs if we had even a halfway competent team. 4 out of the last 6 games are home games... Those are supposed to be gimme games and were for many years.

I don't agree with the schedule......but I do agree on Campbell. He is not even close to being ready. Also, our OC and DC are getting out coached every week.

Unlike previous shots at the NFL, Miko this time targeted the Dolphins’ organization and owner Stephen Ross.

Yes, shots fired right at the top.

Sunday night, she tweeted, “how do u trust an owner that would put his team in position 2 play SEVEN of its first NINE games on the road so the stadium can be finished?”

That referred to Ross agreeing to backload the home schedule to allow time for work on the $425 million renovations to Sun Life Stadium. The upgraded is happening with the hopes of drawing a Super Bowl back to Miami and providing a canopy for Dolphins fans.

Miko wasn’t finished, however, following with, “I dont know about u guys, that tells me all i need to know about this organization.”

It must be pointed out that both Miko and Brent have said that they each speak for themselves. Miko says she doesn’t speak for Brent; Brent says he doesn’t speak for Miko.

But: Anytime a wife starts taking shots at the head honcho of her husband’s firm, you have to wonder if the honcho will get tired of someone tugging on his cape. Especially if that someone has caused controversy before (she was arrested before one home game and charged with resisting arrest).

You look at the back end of this schedule and it's very very winnable...just not for the Miami Dolphins.

San Diego Chargers
New York Giants
Indianapolis Colts
Baltimore Ravens
New England Patriots in week 17 in Miami where they're sure to rest players now that they have lost.

You go back and look at the first half of the season...

Washington Redskins. Trash.
Jacksonville Jaguars. Trash.
Tennessee Titans. Trash.
Houston Texans. Trash.
Philadelphia Eagles. Trash.

AFC East opponents. Largely average outside of the New England Patriots. But we were bullied FOUR games by the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets because they play tough, physical football and these soft fat dudes in Miami do not like to play physical. You hit these guys in the mouth from the start and they will absolutely roll over and QUIT every single time.

I totally agree that this team is soft. Part of that goes to the coaching and the rest goes to the players. The players need to come out stronger, dictate the tempo and be the ones delivering the punches, not receiving them. They also need to be coached up a bit. Most importantly, they need a leader on both sides of the ball that will hold them accountable.

5 games left, 2 against winning teams, one being 6-5. I hope we don't get a false sense of winning some meaningless games and attempt to keep any of these useless coaches.

The team won't show life at home these last 4 games b/c the season is over and the fans justifiably won't show up or care.

The fact that she gets her tweets mentioned in the local online paper is a travesty in of itself. Miko, perhaps Brent shouldn't have gotten steamrolled by Brandon Marshall all game. That would've happened had they been playing on Jupiter.

I agree with this. This schedule is not tough. We had a tougher schedule the 1-15 year. Does that mean we are worse than 2007?? maybe. :err:

I feel like the schedule was tailor made for us.

As for Miko, when isn't she blaming someone else when Brent plays poorly?

So many games on the road to start may have made things a little tougher. However most of the teams they played were very beatable. There are very few good teams in the league this season and you need to be able to win on the road. Look at the remaining schedule. They play one good team in the last 5 games. Since the season is already over I hope they lose out to get a better draft pick. No use in beating the teams you should beat now, should have done that when they still had a chance.

Sounds like you're making excuses. Many people here were predicting a 6-0 or a 5-1 start. Perhaps next year we'll fair better in the scheduling department and get to play Rutgers or Navy or some such team.
