Praise has come for Porter, Pennington and Ginn, which these guys played great and it is well deserved. But I was thinking about some guys who contributed in Miami's victory that haven't gotten attention and one guy I can think of is part of the special teams unit. A lot of times kickers and punters don't get any attention, unless they screw up, but these guys can obviously be key factors in games, as special teams are very important as well. Well my hats off to Mr. Fields. It was booting the ball deep all day and I believed he had a couple of nice punts inside the 5 in Buffalo territory, forcing Trent Edwards to have to march 90 yards down the field.

And if you think of it, that safety really separated and helped in Miami's victory, with the 5 points attained that forced the Bill's to have to hurry up their pace, which allowed Miami to make a play and allowed Miami to have a two possession lead. But without the nice punt from Fields pinning the Bills within the 5, Miami would obviously not have had the chance to have a safety, which ended up being very beneficial for Miami's victory. Props to unheralded, Brandon Fields.

Hey, great post!...I have to agree with you 100 percent, the guy had a great game, especially when it counted most in the second half.

well said. two big punts pinned buffalo big time.

Yeah, his punts were monumental with what Miami was able to get from them and how they really helped in changing the outcome in Miami's favor in the game at the end.

i agree with you there...Fields punts were really nice and him pinning the Bills deep like that in their territory was especially great and helped out our D alot....

anyone remember what happened against baltimore? they had some nice punts and we were forced to change our play calling up and ended up losing because of it....

I give a shout out to Goodman the CB. Much much better than last week.

I just said it in another thread but I thought Justin Smiley had a great game as well. I love our offensive line and think they will only get better the more they play together.

I got to give it to Goodman because he really stepped up at the end of the game when it counted.

He gave up the blocked punt. My pick is Jason Allen.
