I love that we are 5-4, but this win makes me think we wont beat all those "easy" remaining opponents... seneca made alot of very tight throws behind our Lb's for alot of first downs...
we played terrible ball in the 2nd and 3rd quarters... and seattle was blitzing us like crazy and completing seemingly everything...
julius jones ran all over us... we didn't play good run D today when we did outstanding agains tthe bills and broncos...

special teams is giving me a heart attack, so many missed tackles.. sparno needs to get these guys back to tackling, even if it means a very tough practice this week, we're someone might get hurt from beating the crap out of one another... we take poor angles on running backs...

the first quarter made me think we'd score 35, but we stalled alot, couldnt convert any third downs, ronnie couldn't get more than 2 yards per carry...

i know we were dealing with alleman and mcchesney at RG, and they blitzed alot... but even jake long played poorly on the blitzes, they gave us alot of looks to study and learn from... if kerney was 100% we'd have given up like 4 sacks...

the pass D gave up alot... they stopped em on the last drive... but barely... i really thought i was witnessing another houston drive, and i was pissed at what they were giving them, wer'e terrible against the no huddle offense, we give up so many plays, good thing we still got pressure by our front 4, but 7 or 8 in coverage still dont get the job done...

they gave us alot of looks on blitzes and WR routes, so hopefully we learn alot from that, cuz we'll need to play wayyyyyyyy better to win this divsion... and more importantly in winning a playoff game, i just hope we dont play peyton manning or someone that wil get 5 Td's on appoint of our bad pass D, we need much tighter coverage, the underneath routes will eventually give us a couple of losses if we dont stop them.

and chad please do better on third down... i know you can, there is no way you cant, just pretend it's first or second down, where your like the best qb in the league...

relax man, I agree with most of what you said but a win is a win; I'd rather have a win like this than the opposite outcome (Houston game).

Its a W and I will take it. It beats the hell out of losing. And hey, at least the D stepped up at the end. I thought for sure Mare was going to beat us with a late FG. And why the hell were people booooing Mare? What did he ever do to anyone?

Anyways, there were some positives, and definately some negatives. But, thats kinda good too. We can find some things we need to improve on and at the same time we still get that W.

Completely agree, seems like that losing mentality still lurks in some fans "I don't like the way we won" . . . wtf lol . . . do we need to rewatch last season to appreciate even a 2-0 victory over a team like the Lions . . . seriously I just want to win, because it beats the hell out of losing.

I'll take it. Would be better than having a loss at the end via Mare's leg. I was really impressed with the D stepping up at the end of the game on Seattle's FHR drive.

5-4. Better than 0-9 at this point last year.

People never cease to amaze me. If the Dolphins don't make the Super Bowl, I guarantee you at least one person on here will talk ****. Hell, if the Dolphins don't make the playoffs, several people will complain about the fact that they blew it.

I love Finheaven for all it's for and it's pretty funny how it works. On the way home from watching the game, I was excited to get on here to see how many doomsday threads there'd be.

I'm not saying some bickering isn't warranted but there's just too much of it. The Dolphins have already exceeded their seasoned expectations and now people want more. With that, greed starts to appear.

One of the posters said he felt the Phins would score 35 points in the 1st qtr the way the game was going but how often does that ever happen?

I think there were alot of people who thought we'd only win 5 or so games this year (I was one of them, I thought somewhere in the range of 5-7)..so anything on top of that, considering we're beating some pretty good teams, is icing on the cake.

I'm just enjoying us going out there and playing every week. It's nice watching a well coached team, when compared to the mess we had on the field last year.

What do some of you want? You guys want to win by 20 each time we step on the field? Are we supposed to be lighting up the scoreboard with our unstoppable receivers?

Get real. We're a .500 football team and I'll take a win at home.

For those who aren't satisfied with this win, you obviously weren't around last season or have set your expectations a bit too high after a few early wins this season.

ADJUSTMENTS. Seattle made them in the second quarter and again at half time. Then we made some (no huddle) based on the adjustments they made. We won, they lost. I, for one, am impressed.

You do realize that alot of these close wins could be losses. Seeing as how we have lost alot of games the last 2 years. I will take a win anyway they can get it. And we are still better than the last two years already. So go dolphins. :woot:
