I was thinking about all of the players that have been mentioned for us to pick and each round, and I have mentioned that new names could pop up after the combine.

Which got me thinking, who are some players that have seen their stock sore and could be mentioned for our pick at 9? And what players haven't been mentioned at other picks? Here are some of my personal choices.

Chris Houston CB, Arkansas- It is no secret I love Houston, and think he will rise to a top 10 pick. While Corner isn't our biggest need, Houston is a playmaker.

Adam Carriker DE,Nebraska- With all the attention going to Jamal Anderson and Gaines Adams, Carriker has quietly shot up the draft boards. an 6'6 300+ lbs he runs a sub 5 40. Not my first choice if I was drafting, but he can also line up at DT, and projects well to being a 3-4 DE as well.

Robert Meachum WR, Tennessee-Next to Calvin Johnson, Meachum has probably the least amount of questions about him. A lot of scouts feel he could shoot up to the number 2 WR due to his well rounded play. For those that want a burner, Meachum is pretty quick in his own right, and has size to boot.

Those are 3 potential first rounders I like, here are other guys in the draft.

Eric Weddle CB/S, Utah-Doesn't have the greatest measurables, but is a great football player, and is a playmaker.

John Wendling S, Wyoming- great athlete taht can play either safety position could be a potential SS canidate

Josh Beekman OG, Boston College- With all the attention going to Blaylock and Grubbs, Beekman has gone unnoticed. People forget he was All-American. He can also play C due to him being only 6'1

Manny Ramirez OG, Texas Tech-This guy is big, and strong. Not overly athletic, but isn't horrible either. Decent pass blocker like most Tech linemen, and a decent run blocker.

Dan Bazuin DE/OLB, Western Michigan- Great pass rusher that projects perfectly to being a 3-4 OLB as well as a rush end in a 4-3.

Matt Spaeth TE, Minnesota-Mackey award winner and is 6'7. Would make a good red zone target, and can work the middle

there are other guys, but those are some that really stood out to me.

Good post. It's hard to argue with most of it, but I doubt that Houston will crack the top 10. I would think that Revis would accomplish that before Houston.

Revis could, but Houston does a lot of things that Revis can't

Not my first choice if I was drafting, but he can also line up at DT, and projects well to being a 3-4 DE as well. Yes, he has been discussed before. The one thing I like about him the most, is the way he holds his ground and the way he tackles against the run.

True, but he does not run his routes very well, and he drops too many balls

Those are 3 potential first rounders I like, here are other guys in the draft.

Eric Weddle CB/S, Utah-Doesn't have the greatest measurables, but is a great football player, and is a playmaker. He was great for Utah in special teams and as a punt returner, but I doubt he can contribute in that capacity in the NFL.

John Wendling S, Wyoming- great athlete taht can play either safety position could be a potential SS canidate

Josh Beekman OG, Boston College- With all the attention going to Blaylock and Grubbs, Beekman has gone unnoticed. People forget he was All-American. He can also play C due to him being only 6'1. I only watched one BC game, and he did not seem to have a lot of mobility. I think his footwork needs improvement

Manny Ramirez OG, Texas Tech-This guy is big, and strong. Not overly athletic, but isn't horrible either. Decent pass blocker like most Tech linemen, and a decent run blocker. He is huge, but as such, he is not very athletic and his arms are kind of short.

Dan Bazuin DE/OLB, Western Michigan- Great pass rusher that projects perfectly to being a 3-4 OLB as well as a rush end in a 4-3. The Buzz did not have a very good senior year, but then again, he was injured, I think. A bit undersized to play at DE, but as you say, he can be moved to a OLB.

Matt Spaeth TE, Minnesota-Mackey award winner and is 6'7. Would make a good red zone target, and can work the middle. I am a Canes fan, so I would love to see Olsen in Miami. I only know about Spaeth that he is supossed to have great skills as a blocker. We already have Peeler for that.

I bolded my comments. A bit lazy today. :dolphins:

Dwayne Bowe would be awesome. Think David Boston before he messed up his career. And don't believe the comparisons to Michael Clayton; just because they both went to LSU and both are 6'3". Bowe looks much stronger and has a bigger frame than Clayton.

mabye after the combine, could be more especific.....mmm talking about what can they do..
