Ok, now i know this has been brought up before, but with 14 games under our belt, how do you chaps feel about Daniels at CB?

Remember there was much talk during/after the draft about him being better suited at free safety... So I ask you, does he have the physical skills of a starting corner in this league? Would he make a quality safety with his plays on the ball in the air?

Talk amongst yourselves... I think he'd make a fine free safety with an offseason of training... If it were me, I'd say we should go CB early in the draft and solidify that secondary with Poole and Madison (if he's retained)

No.

Travis Daniels has started at CB all year long as played very well, AS A ROOKIE. He's learning the position from veterans like Madison. He said he's taking everything Sam's teaching him "in like a sponge". He's been playing it since college and in his first year as pro. If he would have struggled I would consider it, but he has played well. I say keep him at CB.

Daniels is doing fine as a CB. But I guess he could make a good safety. If we pick up a fast CB via draft and FA, we can move him.

yes, but mostly CB, especially at the end of his college career.

I know... I was just playing a little devil's advocate...

What about Lance?

I think you sign a stud corner , maybe Clements or Woodson.

And just let Poole and Daniels fight for the Nickel/Dime.

Schulters should be our starting FS next year.

IMO.

he aint our future though. If Daniels has the ability to develop into a stud FS... then you do it automaticlly, even with Schulters on the roster IMO. Or atleast start Daniels splitting alot of snaps with Schulters and ease Daniels into the starting role...

Easing Daniels into "the role".....Im with that.

But Schulters has been "hands down" our most productive player in the secondary this year.

IMO, The FS spot would become a major issue again if he is not re-signed.

did you just promote signing Charles Woodson?

Absolutely.

If you didnt notice....

We were TORCHED by "the greatness" that is Brooks Bollinger last week.

We need secondary help......

He will be available.....

Sign him up.

I cant back you up on the Woodson statement bro.

I dont think anyone denies that we desperatly need secondary help... but Woodson wouldnt provide much, if any. He really isnt that good at all... and for the amount of money he is gunna demand he isnt even worth thinking about.

Clements is a different story... but stay away from Woodson...

I know this is the cowards way out, but I think we should have him as both.

In NE, most secondary players can play all over the place. Saban is good friends with BB, and I think that is the best and most likely scenario. I can't think of a player like that on the roster now, but versatility would be a breath of fresh air after Wanny's system.

We should make sure Daniels knows CB and FS inside out, and move him around as needed. I realize you guys were going for the Madden title, but I think he could be a player with great value if he didn't have a title.

No to Clements, not because of skills, his price tag will be too high.

No to Woodson. Just No.

No to Law while we are at it.
