I doubt many people will agree with this, nor am I saying this is what the team should do, but I just really want a ballhawking defensive back or a top flight wide receiver. I feel like those are two things this team has been missing for awhile now.

Reshad Jones has been great for us but he looks like he's lost a step so I would looove to see a ballhawking safety on our team. Our wide receivers have been pedestrian for the better part of the last decade or more so I would really love to see true, tall, physical number one receiver for Tannehill. Thoughts?

The problem I have with WRs is they have the largest bust rate of first round picks. It’s almost as if you get a stud or a dud- not much in between.

DBs on the other hand I’d be ok with. I’d just take it with a grain of salt that it might take a year or two for them to really get the game.

Safety Derwin james is easily one of the most popular players desired on this board. And Reshad Jones plays SS. He's not a ball hawk.

Your suggestion is plenty popular.

No to WR at 11....yes to a safety as long as he's a true center field kind of FS

Ozzy rules!!

I like Derwin James but we’re paying our safeties a lot. I don’t see any wr worth taking at 11.

We're paying them a combined $7.5 million with an out next year with McDonald. That's not a lot and won't (or shouldn't, with a competent FO...so, we're ****ed.) impact who we draft other than passing on another SS. Derwin would play a different role than those two.

Fully on board with Derwin James. No thanks to any of the top WRs this year.

I don't think DB would be an unpopular pick outside of those who prefer drafting purely for need (and even then, #1 corner & FS are needs just not as desperate as a few other positions). Several DBs with solid value at #11 and you really can't have too many quality DBs.

If we hadn't picked up any WR's this off-season, I wouldn't mind a receiver in the 2nd or 3rd. At this point, TE, LB, Guard, safety and DT are the pieces we need.

Free saftey should be a target we are deep at strong safety

James isn't a free saftey. Far from a ball hawk. How many ints, I think 3 in his career. I feel like he is some what over hyped. Played very medicore offensive teams most of the season. Read several articles saying he over committes, struggles in man coverage, poor eye hand coordination (drops ints). Also a year missed for a injury is always a red flag for me. I feel LB is much more pressing and if we passed on an Edmunds for him it would be a mistake.

I like James, but near the line of scrimmage or near there. He seems to produce the hits and plays when he meets the receiver over the middle or a rb makes it to the second level. I wouldn't call him a ball hawk.
I like Tankersly and X. These 2 young guys will only get better at the corners.
I'm not against Ridley, I'm just not excited for him.
