I’d like to give a shout-out to John Denney. The man made two stellar special teams plays on Sproles to save field position in a 1 point game.

This is a long snapper in the center of the formation with his head down snapping a ball and then getting 40+ yards downfield to make tackles to limit returns to less than 10 yards.

Outstanding effort to a guy who gets little credit on the team but has been doing his job for 164+ games now.

Post of the ****ing year NY.

Of. The. ****ing. Year.

 seriously though yes, nobody else on ST makes it down there. He busts his ass weekly too. Good player.

He was great yesterday . . . he was like a nimble deer going down the field and tackling the shifty Sproles. Hell I wanna see those race against each other in the 40 . . . my dollars are on Denny :bdh:

I always try to make little jokes about this guy - especially when we play a terrible game - often telling Hayden he should list Denny as the lone positive :). Seriously, is there a more consistent LS in the NFL? Whatever happened to his brother who I thought was a pretty good pass rushing DE for the Bills?

I think I'm gonna get a full-back tattoo portrait of John Denney this afternoon.

Agreed. It's got to be very difficult to snap the ball then sprint down field to tackle a guy like Sproles (or anyone really). To do it twice yesterday was fantastic.

With his rare stability on this team for a number of years, and his all-out play, I think he deserves to be in the ring of honor.

No question . . . 169 game straight they said? That is impressive stuff. From rookie to current, he has never missed a game, he's a pro bowler and still one of the best in the league at what he does.

Definitely a Dolphins ring of honor member when he hangs them up.

You know what- The Dolphins have not been blessed enough to have a high-profile QB in 20 years, but damnit we have been blessed with two great long snappers. Ed Perry, and Denny.
