Im gonna have to not read finheaven forum cause everyone sounds like babies. It was the first of 5 meaningless preseason games and all i see are, "FEELEY SUCK", "RICKY SUCKS", O-Line sucks. Man some people need to stop smoking crack and take it easy. I think we saw some good things out there from ferotte, boston, diamond etc. Our 4th string lost the game lol not the guys who will actually make the team this year. So everyone take a tranquilizer and calm down...the real season starts in a month.

Is the pre-season used to evaluate talent? Then why should we not talk about that talent and evaluate their play on a game by game basis? If the OL and secondary plays well next Sat then I will be the first to say "well done". However, right now they are in dire need of work.

Reminds me of that part in Team America where they sing "We All Got AIDS!"..

Evaluating talent is fine... i think reggie howard looked bad especially after he got flat out beat by Muhammad and the oline didnt pick up the blitz well when feeley was in there, but wrtiting the team and players off for the season is just idiotic.

Now we know why our offense looked so good in practices.... our defense has yet to show up!

Keep in mind that they are trying out new schemes and they are not game planning to exploit an offenses weaknesses.
That being said, Madison is a lousy tackler. He comes in on a blitz and lets a RB juke him and pick up 20 yds.
Surtain was a much better tackler.
On the other hand, that pass interference called on him was bogus. He put a hand on the WR's pads 1-2 yds off the line of scrimmage and then broke beautifully inside to knock the ball away. He never held the receiver. It was textbook coverage on a slant pattern.

yes the ENTIRE pre-season... not the least important of all pre-season meetings the first one... we had no scheme or game plan coming in, we ran vanilla plays and didn't show anything of our defense really as saban said... no biggie if it continues yes its a problem... but its one game, not to mention the least important of all the preseason games...
