OK... So a few weeks ago I read an artical about how Sparano ae al. will be picking up the final pieces after our last cuts... who is going to be a suprise cut but the Dolphins and who will be picked up?
up comming cuts and pick ups?

I think that you'll be seeing David Martin cut, but that isn't a surprise. I think that you'll be seeing...this may be a suprise to some, Hagan cut, and also Andre Goodman cut.
Another guy that could go is Crowder if he doesn't step up his game in Training Camp.

no way will we cut a CB.. We barely have enough as it is.. Same with WR. Unless we pick up 1 or 2 WR, hagan will not be cut. We will probably cut 2 LBers that are currently in our 2 deep becuz we have a lot of them. I'd say a 2 deep DL gets the axe as well. However, i dont like saying who i think will get cut cuz im not out there every day watching these players pro/degress

I am not sure Crowder is in any danger of being cut, but who knows. This is a contract year for him (I think), and alot of players "come into thier own" and have stellar contract years for some reason. I would expect him to step up and play very well this year. If not, I can definately see him being gone next year.

Theyve said Hagan has been the best reciever in camp, I doubt he gets cut. Dave Martin is bye bye

This thread brought up an interesting question...how many slots are up for grabs?
In-season roster is 53 players, with just 45 in uniform for games. Currently, the team has 82 players on the roster (40 offense, 38 defense, 4 special teams). Some number (x) of these slots are likely taken, another number (y) are possibly taken, meaning some other number (53-[x+y]) is the number of spots up for grabs in training camp.
Next week's column will be a detailed look at how many are taken (and by whom), how many are probably taken, and how many are up for grabs.

You are obvious in going against the grain on your response. Maybe you are on the mark on Martin the scoop on him is the talent etc is there but he cannot stay healthy. What really hurts him is he is a pass catching tight end not a blocking tight end which is a must in Bill Parcells system. It was McMiceal who got cut last yer becuase while his blocking had improved his pass catching had gotten a bit worse. McMicheal would have stuck on this Parcells team. If we trade Taylor to Green Bay we could end up with Donald Lee whom drafted as a Dolphin during the McMiceal era was very talented but dropped the ball alot and from what I heard was part of the reason David Martin got cut as Lee replaced him. Would be ironic if that happened.
I highly doubt that he'll get cut. We are very thin at that position, which isn't filled with any real stars to begin with. Goodman has been good at times(no pun intended=)) when healthy.

I'm not sure you follow the news.. Hagan was very impressive in mini-camps (statement from his coaches)
Who will replace Andre Goodman? Maybe we should Convert Jason Ferguson to CB
sounds like something Cam would definately consider... He was all for putting guys in the wrong positions. Porter at DE, Ronnie at KR, Cleo Lemon at QB

That would be a surprise because I just read an article about Goodman and Hagan receiving praises from Sparano and Parcells.
You just mentioned three key players (Goodman, Crowder, and Hagan) at the positions that we are the thinnest at. I don't see any of these guys going. Why, because all three salaries are low enough to manage and we have plenty of cap room to spare. Plus, even if they don't end up being starters for us; you don't cut guys like this if they can provide quatlity depth for you. You cut the players that are the lowest on the depth chart and these three are not ranked that low.
