Outside linebacker Adrian Hubbard didn't get on the field last season for the Green Bay Packers. He aims to change that in the 2015 NFL campaign. When the Packers' rookies reported for a minicamp over the week, Hubbard already had been in Green Bay for more than two months.

On his 23rd birthday, Feb. 27, Hubbard arrived in Green Bay, and he's been working at the Packers' facility since.

"Wake up. Come here. Work out. Go home," Hubbard told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel of his offseason routine. "It's my job, so I'd rather be here for my job than back at home relaxing."

Hubbard left Alabama with a season of eligibility remaining, and he went unselected in the 2014 NFL Draft. A minor heart abnormality discovered at the NFL Scouting Combine hurt his draft chances. Medically cleared to play, Hubbard signed with the Packers after the draft.

Hubbard spent last season on Green Bay's practice squad. While he wasn't on the active roster, he did get to practice against the Packers' starting offense throughout the season.

"I think the second year is always going to be more comfortable," Hubbard told reporters during last weekend's rookie minicamp. "It's like college. You get the one year under your belt, and the second year it's: 'OK, I know how things work now.'"

How do we know who cleared waivers already? thought that was at noon today?

3-4 brewing or Chris McCain in hot seat?

He was a cut to 75, not 53, so he has been available.

Edit (6'5 251 is not small).. Didn't see that coming.

Why are we targeting 3-4 OLB's? First it was Lynden Trail now Hubbard.

As Buffalo News noted, Dolphins add 6-6 LB Adrian Hubbard (10 sacks,26 starts at 'Bama). GB p-squad in '14,cut Tues.Unclear if p-squad or 53

Nope. Not unless he's become a completely different player since college. Makes no sense for a team in a 4-3 and isn't all that inspiring even if we were running a 3-4. Let's hope this dude I've never heard of is wrong. Much more interesting pick ups out there.

It's about scheme flexibility. They want OLBs that can play with their hands off or on the ground. It is something they tried with Dion Jordan and are trying with Chris McClain.
