Does anybody know the status of Bryant Johnson and Darryl Blackstock coming in for any visits?? I think these would be two solid back-ups for us...

I think Johnson was close to signing with the Bills, if it hasn't happened already.

Hold on, let me check.

Nope, I just checked their site and he hasn't signed with them yet. Bryant Johnson is still on the market. :woot:

Really? I couldv'e sworn he signed, but it must have just been visiting or what not. Thanks man.

L2G is right, he has not signed as of yet but I believe it will only be a matter of time before he is officially a Bill. They seem to be the most interested. Although, there is always a possibility that Dan Schneider overpays and throws the bank at him during his visit to Washington.

Yahoo Sports:
Mar 4: WR Bryant Johnson was hopeful of signing with the Bills after visiting with the team Monday, although he does have Washington, Chicago and Tampa Bay on his list of teams he plans to visit. "Hopefully I wont have to take any more visits after I leave here," Johnson said. "My agent is going to talk with them (the Bills) and hopefully we can work something out and make both of us happy."

Update on Bryant Johnson??

he agent for Bryant Johnson says he expects his client to sign with a team shortly.
The agent says Arizona and Chicago are not among three teams that have made his client an offer. The Bucs, Redskins, and Bills may be those clubs.

I think Johnson said he was going to visit other teams after he meet with the Bills. But I think the redskins denyed that he was going to visit them. The skins are more interested in a cheaper option.

As far as I know, the Bills are the ONLY team Johnson has visited with. I dont see a team like the Bucs offering him a bigger contract than the one the bills offered, without even bringing him in for a visit.

are you sure it wasn't antonio johnson that signed somewhere? i made the same mistake when i saw antonio had signed.

49ers agreed to terms with WR Bryant Johnson on a one-year contract.

Johnson, 27, caught at least 40 passes in each of the last four years as Arizona's third receiver. He has the speed Mike Martz likes outside, but isn't known as a precise route runner, a requirement in Martz's offense. We've yet to see the financial terms, but his addition makes it less likely that Ashley Lelie will be on the team. Johnson could push Darrell Jackson to start.

I did not see this one comming. I dont think there has been ANY talk about the 49ers being interested in Johnson.

Wow.

I guess the bills will be taking a WR in the 1st round this year.
