So it is looking more likely the Dolphins are hoping Howard can return to his starting role for what the team hopes is a December-January drive at the playoffs.

As of Wednesday morning, the Dolphins have not ruled out getting veteran cornerback Chris Culliver back for Sunday. He has been practicing for several weeks since his window to come off the physically unable to perform list opened. Culliver was added to the roster and can play anytime coaches deem him ready.

But Culliver simply hasn’t been good enough in practice to earn a spot on the game-day list of active players. Culliver has not regained his explosiveness. He apparently isn’t totally familiar with the system. (How could he be, he’s been practicing in it less than three weeks)?

howard is a must have. Culliver, if we are close to makeing the playoffs, why push him until that last 4 weeks?

Were going to have to try and make it through at least a couple more weeks with what we have it looks like.

Did Pitts see any snaps against SD? I didn't think so. Maybe he will emerge.

Disappointing to see Culliver not regain his explosiveness yet but even a non explosive culliver would be better than Maxwell, no? I mean Maxwell is getting burned on the deep ball left and right. 5+ yard separation from the receiver at times. We are very lucky our pass rush is getting to the opposing QB throwing off their throws.

Dont see any here either so.

Lucas hasnt been active either so doubt he would see the field on defense. Just ST if at all.

pitts is a ST player he wont get snaps on D

this culliver stuff is starting to sound like more hype than substance

I just hope we are still in it come December if/when x comes back...our corner play can beat us

Maxwell and McCain are going to get us killed.

Man, imagine if we had a healthy Rashard and Howard...

look, I think we're in great position, we have LA and SF two teams we can beat w/ subpar corner play. Then we get healthy for the push.

we should be in great position...I agree...cause neither of these teams have even average wr cores...but we can't cover fringe 53 wrs even running out this current top 3 crop

and when we do cover we grab in the stem when we are in good position and give teams free sets of downs...like it's our goal

well that and the refs calling ticky tacky bull**** every 3rd and long.

I'm not up on the rules around PUP. Was Culliver able to participate in meetings while on it? I assumed yes, so I thought he'd be mostly comfortable with schemes with 'mental reps'

I've only seen a few of those

most the time when they called it they deserved it

Most of the time they have deserved it but they're not calling it both ways. Same exact plays are happening against our offense and no call.
