Update: sources say philbin has not been eliminated

I will reiterate

Ross is ultimately in control of where the money is spent but Petersen has lots of control - Ross is friends with Petersen - Ireland ANSWERs to them both

If Carl said McCoy is good with him - then Ireland isn't the lame duck GM as Sparano was the lame duck HC - we'll see if Ireland is a lame duck GM
 
i dont know why people think we need philbin to make a good choice.

this fanbase will never change. who cares that he came form the packers? HE DOES NOT CALL PLAYS. he was mostly an 0-line coach. what is so appealing about philbin i do not understand.

Alright fair enough, then you tell me what is so appealing about McCoy and Bowles. Both of their units struggled.

He drew up the O each weeek he had a keen eye for weekly mismatches - kinda like what the Pats do tous twice a year they destroy us in mismatches

Because being a Head Coach, one of the biggest and important tasks is putting together a solid Coaching Staff. I feel like Philbin has the best ability to do just that!

how do you figure? mccoy has been in the league longer and has been with more teams.

i just really cannot get passed the fact that philbin is a glorified o-line coach who "helps" like sparano. and he has some of the best players playing for him while mccarthy calls the plays.

mccoy is a QB coach.

again - i feel the philbin hype is mostly about how many packers people we can poach. coaches and players. and again, look at the long line of pats people/players who have been poached - didnt do too good.
 
He is who I am hoping for over McCoy, as I can see him hopefully bringing Clements and Flynn with him. But I will still support this team if they go with McCoy, though he would not be my choice of the two.

This is all assumption though. Would you still want him if he did not bring them?
 
People are acting like Philbin = Matt Flynn is our next head coach......and McCoy = Tim Tebow....geez....lets see how it all plays out. How many of the people making dumb *** comments, even have one clue of what they are talking about.....

I am not saying Philbin=Flynn. Would that be nice if it did, yes it would. But in no way do I feel it is a sure thing. And if you think that is a dumb *** comment that is up to you, and if you don't think I know what I am talking about that is your opinion as well. But opinions are like ***hole's everyone has one, and I am just giving mine.
