jamarcus russell would be our future qb....i want him anyway...we need someone like him back up to culpepper young and talented...

1. Detroit Lions- Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin
- I don't think they can afford to pass on Brady Quinn, nor do they believe Kitna is the answer.

2. Oakland Raiders- Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma
Could see THomas, or Johnson going here. The Raiders are delpleted of wideouts willing to play for them and Peterson won't have any more impact than Lamar Gordon managed if there is no O-line and no passing game to keep D's honest.

3. Cleveland Browns- Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
Won't be around by their pick. They go THomas to protect their QB and as LeCharles Bentley insurance.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
I think Gaines goes here, with the Bucs Defense aging, and bleeding free agents each year they need the talent back on D. Also, without a bona fide QB to deliver the ball, a WR is a waste.

5. Arizona Cardinals- Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson
Need O-line.

10. Miami Dolphins- JaMarcus Russell, QB, Louisiana State

Picking a 1st round QB wouldn;t surprise me. I think we head into next year with Daunte, Cleo (if he performs WELL sunday) and a newly drafted QB. Bye Joey.

I could also see Joe Thomas here is he does the Leinart slide this far. Or we reach a bit and take Blaylock. Either way we need a great pass-blocking LT to buy Daunte time. You saw what happened when Dauntew has no blindside protection.

Not convinced Russell is worth a #10 pick. I think we ought to trade down to around #20 and pick up a third round pick in the deal.

oh yea....i think he would be a nice pick up for us expecially because he is from LSU and nick saban knows alot about him...plus he is very athletic and has speed

True true.

Did you see the thread where they were talking on ESPN about Atlanta trading us a #2 for Cleo Lemon???

yes i think we will get rid of joey harrington too... but i dont think cleo lemon is a 2nd string yet...he has not been playing long enough to just move up to 2nd string...i think jemarcus russell will be the guy for the 2nd string spot....but other players i would consider at #10 are .....Keith Rivers, Laron Landry, Troy Smith, Reggie Nelson, Leon Hall, Michael Griffin, or Levi Brown.

I never really gave much thought on JeMarcus Russell, but since he is a Saban guy, he can get familiar with the system quickly, and finally goodbye to Joey.
