Hmm, interesting.. I thought Sean was..

- Three Dolphins players have now said USC receiver Patrick Turner has been the top standout of all the rooks during OTAs

New update:
No matter which players I ask, two names keep coming up as the players who are standing out during OTAs. The first is veteran receiver Ted Ginn Jr., which is understandable considering he's the fastest player on the team, and NO ONE is hitting him during these sessions, which means he can run around without any fear. I'll be watching closely when the pads go on.

The second is former USC receiver Patrick Turner, whom his regime got a lot of heat for selecting so early in the 2009 draft. Turner's the big body receiver Will Allen said the team was missing last season, and Channing Crowder said the third-round pick "is catching everything" and providing the team a big target.

How Turner's been performing in front of his teammates during those private OTAs helps explain why he's presently ahead of Brandon London on the depth chart. I personally need to see it for myself before I give The Mob an endorsement, but you have been warned....

interesting, i hope he becomes a big time receiver for us

wow that's great!

I have high hopes for this guy.

I pride myself on watching and knowing about most receivers that come or are coming into a draft......I'll be honest this guy didn't even hit my radar.

I also look for big, smooth receivers too. So how I missed him is still an unknown.

Now, I have watched every u-tube video and any other vid I can find on this guy and I have to say I'm very impressed with him. Nice big hands, he catched with them, understands his body very well and runs very nice routes.

We could have our big play receiver here.

It is unusual for a tall rookie receiver to stand out during OTAs, That is encouraging, but we have no idea until training camp.

i hope this pick pans out...maybe Parcells got a gem in Turner. Time will tell, we'll see when he gets onto the field.

Turner has little chance to be any good. Mel Kiper told us so. LOL

Some have said he reminds them of Keyshawn, same school, size, and skills but, not the production.

Think Keyshawn may have been in Tuna's ear? I do.

That's possible...Keyshawn would intervene for him.. I'm hoping the kid developes into a colston part 2, where he wasn't taken until the 7th round...basically scouts and the experts didn't see colston coming, and I'm hoping it's the same for Turner...I don't even think ppl saw Boldin being as good as he was when he was coming out of FL ST..

from videos i saw he looks like a good athlete, everyone was questioning his speed and i dont even think hes that slow, yea maybe if u compare him to ted ginn or devin hester maybe hes "slower" but hes 6'5, hes a possession receiver not a speed guy.

I hope we keep Brennan Marion on the practice squad.

Another Mel Kiper mistake...

Didn't he just trash the Phins for drafting him. The guy is a clown and hopefully Turner will use it as motivation to prove all of those supposed experts wrong!

I'm excited of the potential for turner and his scoring, first down potential. I believe that we knew what we were getting with the corners. And with pat white that position is just so hard to excel early. So It's good to here and I hope he's able to continue this when the pads are on and the hitting begin.
