USA Today Preview

Holy heck, somebody picked us to finish 2nd in the division!?!? Wow.

Not that I disagree or think it's not possible. But just about EVERYBODY has us firmly in the cellar so far.

This is one of the first national reporters that seems to see and understand what we all see and understand. Unfortunately nobody national ever looks at the big picture. He makes good points Very cool.

I think that's great. Way to shake things up and not be like all the other homer journalists out there.

Sadly, this is either old, or the guy has no clue on current events as he expects Ronnie to make 'everyone forget about Ricky'. Huh? How we forget about Ricky when they will be sharing snaps?! Too bad this guy is clueless, the first person who actually gives us credit.

All I can say is WOW!!! I can't believe someone in the media picked us that high. I doubt even the local media will do that. It's certainly possible.

It can't be old....he is talking about how we selected Manny Wright in the 5th rd of the supplemental draft

Ronnie has the first 4 games to make us "forget" about Ricky.... Plus splitting tim is NOT necessarily a BAD thing.

Don't know if it has been posted already. (I didn't see it)

Here's my favorite part of the article:
"The biggest question is at quarterback, where two career backups, A.J. Feeley and Gus Frerotte, will battle it out. That's the only thing keeping me from picking the Dolphins first."

Ah, finally an intelligent sportswriter, who did his homework....Nice!!!

How old can it be, he wrote that Miami did great in waiting till the 5th round to take Wright, and even if it was old, we have had a very good offseason.

Personally, I don't think Ronnie is going to make us forget Ricky especially with Ricky get alot of carries.

"the fins won 10 games 2 years ago". yep, but a lot has happened since then. mainly AJ Feeley, and the "gutting" our your secondary. not to mention the 0-Line problems.

actually that year we went 10-6 our o-line was probably in the 25-32 range for ranking o-lines, i think this years group could be 18-15, and yea the secondary is weak now, cant argue with that:goof: , put hopefully poole and daniels will be our next surtain and madison. your right that alot has happened but that 10-6 team seemed like it shouldve been 8-8 to me and this team is just as talented if not more than that team.

The article made some great and very interesting points, i could see is finishing 2nd if we won around 9 games rather than the 7 or 8 i have them winning, and everything falls through. The team if healthy i think is probably better than teams we've had in the last few years, but we cant seem to stay healthy, we have a better recieving core, better backfield, better QB choices and the front 7 is better also. The secondary is worse but everything else cancels that out. It could happen, we'll have to see.

Yea. but everyone and their grandmother knew Ricky was coming back and has known for at least a month that the NFL let him come back early. So, to assume we will forget about an active roster spot and potentially 1000 yd rusher this year sounds to me like the guy missed some info recently.
