FYI ... Those are Power Rankings, not QB Rankings ... big difference.

I'm sure you all noticed that Ryan, Freeman (who we easily could've traded up for) and McCoy (who we passed on for John Jerry) were all ranked higher than our boy.

And I bet if we had drafted Mallett this year, even as a rookie, he'd be ranked higher than where Henne is.

But I guess it's more fun to kill the messenger.

Until we get a GM who knows how to draft his own QB talent, we're not going anywhere.

Why the **** would we have traded up for Freeman or drafted McCoy? Two posts in a row that are beyond retarded.

ok maybe im tired but u dont think trading up for Freeman would hav been a good idea.

In hindsight, yes. At the ****ing time that would've been one of the stupidest things we could've done. We had just drafted a QB the year before in the second round, so we would just give up our second round investment without ever seeing him play a meaningful snap in the NFL? We also wouldn't have got Vontae Davis and more than likely Sean Smith, so who would our CBs be?
 
As I've contended, if you believe these ratings, Matty Ice would be a backup on at least 7 teams (although I believe more). But hey, maybe he could learn something about winning from a few of those guys (well maybe not so much Payton)

say what you want about the list but Henne is right where he should be. He is absolutely one of if not the worst QB in the NFL. He sucks really really bad. Sanchez is way to high though. He should be about 25

well no offense but thats like the Matt Ryan arguemnet that who would our LT be. qb is the most important position on the field > He doesnt do it alone but yea would give up vontae in a a second to get a quality qb.

At the time we didn't need a QB. We had a healthy Chad Pennington and a young Qb sitting on the bench. You need to think back to before that draft not right now. It is nothing like the Matt Ryan argument. At the time of Matt Ryan our starting QB for the year was going to be Josh McCown. We got lucky that the Jets cut Chad Pennington. We had already addressed the QB position the year before and we were weak at CB.

I agree at the time it looked ok but was just speaking on Freeman although this team was just as silly and drafted Pat white so u can say we would not have got Smith. The problem with this regime is that they like many fans started believing that the wildcat was some kind of revolutionary offense because we had success over one season. people can call white parcells folly but Im sure Ireland, Sparano and Henning as well as Lee had no problem with the pick and thought it was just what we needed.

My point was we still drafted a qb. In fact we drafted that qb over Sean smith. Im beginning to think 2008 although great to make playoffs for once was worst tghing that ever happened to us
