Green, though, quickly flashed his talent to his new teammates by lofting a perfect 30-yard strike to wide receiver Chris Chambers during an 11-on-11 drill toward the end of the session.

Holliday elaborated on his comments Friday and offered Ginn a personal explanation about what was said.

"Not to take anything away from Ginn, not to take anything away from our front office, it's just where we were at the time, what we thought was going to happen didn't happen," Holliday said. "I'm sure Ginn's going to be a great player for us. He works hard. We'll see what happens."

Said Ginn: "He came up to me and said, 'Whatever that's going on out there, don't pay any attention to it. We love you here, we like that you're here. We're just going to go out and have fun. I want to see you succeed.' That's all it takes, for a man to come up and talk to another man with respect."

Dolphins backup tackle Joe Toledo will need foot surgery after getting re-injured during a minicamp earlier this off-season. A 2006 fourth-round pick, Toledo initially injured his foot when slipping after stepping out of a hot tub.

Also sidelined for the minicamp was fellow reserve tackle Anthony Alabi, who is still recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery performed in April. But Cameron said Alabi, a 2005 fifth-round draft choice who is competing to serve as a backup left tackle behind Vernon Carey, should be ready for the start of training camp.

Defensive tackle Keith Traylor returned to practice after missing earlier minicamps following April ankle surgery.
