USC aknowledged the Sugar Bowl was the National Championship

During the usc/Oregon State game, usc fans were seen waving packets of sugar around and had signs and shirts saying they were going to the Sugar Bowl, which is the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

Only after they found out they weren't making it because of their pansy schedule and the lack of a conference championship in the soft Pac 10, they decided they would have their own little championship in California.

The only reason usc is ahead of LSU in the AP poll is because they began the season ahead of LSU by way of prediction, and they stayed ahead during the season even though LSU was beating better teams.

The coaches have LSU #1, they won the OFFICIAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, and they have the hardware. Case closed.

Shut up West Coast crybabies.

And with no playoff system in college football, the debate about who's No. 1 won't get resolved this season.

Both teams are very deserving. USC impressed me all season and in the Rose Bowl, and LSU was very good all year as well, and did very well in the Sugar Bowl. OU, even though they lost to K-State, is still an excellent team who dominated everyone this year. LSU outplayed OU and they deserve a share of the title.

It's a shame but even after coachers were forced to vote for the winner of the BCS championship 3 coaches still had teh ball to vote for the true champions. LSU doesn't have anything for USC.

The CHAMPION was crowned after the Rose Bowl.

SMad, if you want USC to be in the "bs" championship game as you say (by the way which is the OFFICIAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME) tell them to beat a top 10 team in the regular season!!! They had the softest schedule ever!

And besides, every coach has his name on the contract to agree the BCS Championship game crowns the National Champion. INCLUDING PETE CARROL. If he has a problem with that, tell him to take his name off the contract.

Remember, 17 voted were given to LSU, the REAL National Champ, for first place in the AP Poll!
