One thing I did notice was Cobbs as the 3rd down back. I know Sparano said he would be the guy but Ricky n Ronnie are just simply better at

1. picking up the blitz
2. catching the ball out of the back field
3. making things happen with the ball in their hands.

I just think we should use our best players on 3rd down.

well the idea was not to overwork ronnie. But hes lookin pretty solid so that may change next week.

I personally think Ronnie should be starting next week. But, if the coaches still feel Ricky is the better back, Ronnie absolutely needs to be in there on third down. I don't have anything against Cobbs, but as you said, we simply need to have our best players on the field.

If ricky and ronnie are both healthy, cobbs is strictly ST and Mop up duty. Put your best players on the feild!!! Personally, I would like to see both of them on the feild at the same time more often

You're correct....

The whole purpose of a two back system is to keep your running backs rested. There's absolutely no reason we can't keep Ricky and Ronnie out there all 3 (and sometimes 4) downs, and keep them both rested. It just doesn't make any sense to me having a vastly inferior back out there, when your other two backs aren't even seeing much action.
