Using 3 tackles going forward

Will Sherman be smart enough to continue to use Will Yeatman in the power run game? Having three tackles on the line certainly helped last night. Getting the running game going, and staying with it, will help immensely down the stretch. It will help cut down the sacks on RT, open up play action passing game, and keep the D off the field and fresh.

Adding McKinnie and Yeatman was a decent solution for now. My major gripe is that nothing was done as far as changes in personnel or schemes until after Ross had his little meeting with Ireland and Philbin. These guys had to be forced by the owner to make changes; I think that they would have happily kept the status quo all season long. A smart staff would have made changes when they realized that there was a major problem!

It's nothing new from what a good amount of other teams do.

One by product of it is... it gets Yeatman live reps and could/should help speed up his development to see if he actually could be a OT solution.

Pound the rock out of this formation then take ur play-action shots with Wallace/ hartline and 1other receiver tannehill can find the open guy with time he doesn't need 5 options to throw to

I felt most comfortable in the max protect formation for Tannehill to throw. I think when he has time, he is really good. Our defense is great save for wilson and carroll, and we need a more stable line. Get these things fixed, and win alot!

Several months ago, how many people would have thought we'd be saying "Sub Egnew" for anyone? :)

Yep. It really only took the Bengals one half to make an adjustment. Now that it is on film and a teams are aware we might use this, they will be prepared. It isnt something we will be able to do long term. Eventually, we will have to get a real QB.

Bengals had 9 in the box in the 2nd half and dared Miami to throw it.

You do realize that Yeatman was a tight end before we moved him to tackle.
