In a recent radio interview Patrick Turner was asked who was the most impressive rookie-he says Davis...then a day or so later Bess is asked the same question and says Davis again...says his physical skills are great. Found it interesting...

Could you link to it please? I'd like to hear it. Not questioning whether it's true or not, just would like to hear the whole interview.

What radio interview? Do you have anywhere we could look for it to find links?

both interviews on 560wqam-still on thier site..

Man, I gotta check in on that site more often. There's like 5-6 interviews of our players that I haven't heard yet.

And wow, Bess is so humble that it almost annoys me, he never gives credit to himself. But that's always a good thing, so glad he's on our team.

I hope Bess stays a Dolphin for a very long time.
He is exactly what every team needs

Lets draft the meanest, fattest, Hippo next year to man the Nose and watch this team dominate on Defense for years to come....

Bess has gotten all that "Me" stuff out of his system. He's blessed to have a shot at pro ball and he knows it. That's the mark of a focused player. I've said it once, and, I'll say it again. I am a HUGE Bess fan. I have not been a fan of any Dolphins player like this since Jensen.

Good news because we need both CB rookies big time this year. If Sean Smith is outshining V Davis then that creates lots of extra pressure Davis does not need to deal with and certainly will not help his play. If you listen to all the beat writers its Smith whom is shining star of the 2 of them right now which is ok news but not really good news. Davis was the 1st round pick and for the good of the phins as well as himself he should start over Smith. The fans and press put to much pressure on these rookie players in many cases and just cause more problems when those players start to soak up the criticism. Remember its the coaches and GM's that drafted the players and thats where the criticism really needs to begin and end.

Yeah, same here. It's rare to find a receiver that isn't ****y, and really knows that it's a privilege to play in the NFL, not a right. I got the biggest rush flowing through my body when he got that pass from the Chad and took off for around 45 yards to set us up for a TD. Watching him get up pumped from that play got me just as pumped, because it was just great to see such a deserving dude make a play like that, and to hear the crowd going crazy just made it perfect. I wish I was there for that!

No, Smith outshining Davis is a GOOD thing. It creates competition to bring out the best of them. Either way, I'm fairly confident they'll both be very good players, and hopefully create a new CB era for us.

I respectivly disagree mainly because of the spin the media puts on it and the players. Sure competition is a good thing but to be labeled a bust just because a 2nd rounder is playing better than a 1st rounder in the same draft class is really over the top. Take those same 2 players put them in 2 different draft classes and they are viewed entirly differently even with the same results. Madison outshined Surtain at 1st both 2nd rounders though we gave up a 1st rounder in a future draft for Surtain. In theory if they had been in the same draft Surtain may have been labeled a bust in the beginning. I agree on your point of the competiton though.
