Vance Joseph.......

This defense just looks clueless. Always out of position. More coaching than a talent issue. He doesn't put his players in a position to make plays.
 
In fairness, it's hard to tell much about Joseph with some of the guys we're playing. Our back seven is gosh awful. Maxwell is horrible. Jelani Jenkins ... ugh. Then you've got guys like Jordan Phillips who runs himself out of plays and Jason Jones who sometimes feels like having a 12th guy playing on the opposing offense. Not sure if this wide-nine is a good fit for our personnel, but I am not sure what alignment would be a good fit for this group that is a couple of star players from being a complete dumpster fire.
 
It seems like he is over his head but then u look at the players who are playing for him like MAXWELL who is HORRIBLE to add and the fact that they cant stop the run.You cant fully blame him
 
Vance doesn't have any balls.

When he did in the last minute, the D played fine.
 
He has been given a **** d to run. Crap players are playing crap.

i don't buy this completely. Defense can be respectable on position, attitude and effort. That's all on the coaching. He could get more out of them. Not be a top 10 D, but not this garbage we are seeing.
 
Maxwell is not good, but he had four or five plays this game. I am not happy, but I will take any positive from Maxwell at this point.
