Vegas is telling us who is favored to land Manning

I am quickly growing tired of these talking heads. These guys are simply reaching for a story that will get everyone's attention. Vegas is the only place we should be paying any attention. They have their ears to the ground and are using their reliable sources to set the current odds on who will land Manning.

Prior to Manning's release, Miami was +225 and the Colts were second at +250. After Manning's release Miami was +110 and AZ was second at +350. Currently Miami is even money and AZ is still second but now at +450. So Miami has gained ground over the last 48 hours on getting Manning. If the line shifts where Miami becomes + money, I will be concerned. If Miami becomes negative money, I will be celebrating.

I'm fully aware of how Vegas sets their lines. Heavy money coming in on Miami to win the Super Bowl has driven the odds from 50-1 down to 15-1. And of course money is also driving this line on Manning going to Miami. But do you actually think that Vegas will be waiting for stories to break if he gets swept off his feet in Denver and falls in love with Elway and Colorado? If odds shift and Denver becomes a favorite, it wouldn't be due to heavy money on Denver. Not at first at least. Sorry but Vegas will not be left in the dark on this one. They will be the FIRST source to indicate where Manning is headed. As soon as Manning TRULLY makes up his mind, you can guarantee Vegas will adjust the moment they get word.
