Apparently a torn Achilles and was placed on IR. (He was the back-up center for Pouncey.) Sounds like the Steelers OL is in really bad shape a this point.
 
Roethlisberger is the king of creating his own time in the backfield, gotta wrap him up on tackles.

our defensive line better create so much pressure we start dropping big paul into coverage out of pity. their line is in complete shambles
 
Pittsburgh isn't particularly good on either side of the ball this year. The offensive line is just as bad as ours and it's wreaking similar kinds of havoc on their running and passing game. On defense they're old and slow. They can be had deep and on the perimeter. The guy you want to isolate is Polamalu down the field. He still has his instincts but physically he's a shell of himself, which is why they're using him in the box as much as possible, the way Seattle uses Kam Chancellor.

Roethlisberger is always tricky and Antonio Brown can play. A tricky game, really. You look at that offensive line and you think we should just bury Roethlisberger in blitzes, but this smells to me like the kind of game we'll need to score 25+ if we want to win.
 
3 guys can be draped and hanging on Ben and he will get throw off somehow. I dont know how he does it. This will be a very tough game. Ben is the master of extending play.
 
Actually our OL is playing better since Incognito and Martin went out. No coincidence that the run game was better yesterday with the return of Pouncey so I have to disagree that currently, the Steelers and Dolphins OL are comparable.

I think our defense is primed to give BR a day he will want to forget.
 
With the way OV has been playing and Wake on the other side I feel that their depleted OL has their work cut out for them. Big Ben is good at extending plays, but we all know he sometimes then wings a throw that can get picked. Hope Paterson is back to help out Grimes when that happens.
 
i expect we see extra olineman fronts this week...pittsburgh went to em to jump start the run game some during thier win streak...but they may be without a few tackles also

dline needs to dominate berger will still get out of some things though and we need to bracket antonio brown...heath miller if you forget about him can make plays also but he's not the same player he was a few years ago even...the fall off is there as a win option down the field

without velasco probably means the no huddle is out this week for the steelers and that's big cause they can't just line up and win mano a mano in the trenches with the oline...

and the defense has one pass rusher to worry about...jason worilds if woodley doesn't play...everything else is ehhh
 
I've been dreading this game all year. Roethlisberger can be SOOOO Frustrating to play against.
