"Word from South Florida is Dolphins 2004 first-round pick Vernon Carey looks like a different player altogether and has the inside track at the outside left tackle spot ahead of Damion McIntosh. Observers say it's obvious that O-line coach Hudson Houck is pressing the buttons with Carey that Tony Wise didn't in 2004. We hear Carey is in better shape and more confident, and held his own against Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Taylor during spring practice."

Well i am very glad that Carey is doing well. I got scared last year that he would be a bust since he didn't even start on a very poor OL last year.

That was the wanny era...

HH knows better than wanny and wise

also glad that hes not a bust i watched him play in college and was happy when we drafted him i hope hes the starter for years to come

It never gets old hearing that hes improved :)

I think this year we will find out for sure how coaching makes the world of difference on a football team. Thanks for the info!

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Carey has yet to prove his worth on the field. Yeah its great to hear he's progressed in practice but they havent even put the pads on yet.

Actually this is really good news because before the pads are on the DLine usually has a MASSIVE advantage over the OLine.

Get back to me when they actually start hitting and they are still saying that about Carey, then I'll begin to believe.
