vernon carey is a little concern after watching rookie sedrick ellis man handle him to cause hennes fumble. dont get me wrong, i think sedrick ellis is going to be one of the best dts in the game, but a rookie shouldnt be showing up a vet like that especially after he go switched back to his original position.

It made me chuckle when I heard another player say "Vernon is in the best shape he's ever been in". If that's the case then he must've been in absolutely horrible shape prior to this season. He looks way overweight and still looks sluggish. I think he could be a premium player if he weighed no more then 320-325 at most.

Get used to Smiley getting owned by hungry DTs. My roommates a niners fan and i remember all he would ever complain about on the offensive line was Smileys inability to step up against big time pass rushers at DT.

Hes still a good gaurd though, but not the most powerful one.
