Yes, but you really have to wonder what the hell is going on when Rex Hadnot is starting on this piece of crap line but Carey isn't. I mean, this is the worst o-line in football. I wouldn't call him a bust YET, but it's certainly heading in that direction.

As another poster said in other words....................We either looking at Eddie Blake Jr or both Wannstedt and Bates are complete idiots.

Well we KNOW Wannschmuck is a complete idiot. I haven't seen enough of Bates as a head coach to say yet, but he seems to have a handle on things a bit better than Wannschmuck. Another thing that makes you wonder is because Bates said a lot of young guys would play, and our #1 draft pick didn't play. He must be bringing NOTHING to the table in practice. But even so, let the guy play, and let him learn. There's nothing to lose at this point.

I'm thinking it might be because Hadnot is a guard and Jeno James is a guard and since James is injured and Hadnot is the backup guard, that's why he's playing and Carey isn't.

If St Clair were hurt and Hadnot was the RT, instead of Carey, then you might have to wonder.
 
Whether Hadnot has started or not is irrelevant unless the line positions are interchangeable. The coaches have stressed that they don't want to bounce Carey around so they are only playing him at RT b/c they believe that ultimately this is where he will excel. St. Clair has graded out among the highest on the line according to the coaches. So saying that Carey has failed to beat out the most consistent player on the line should not equal bust or a RS firing.
 
You know most normal people care about there lives. In case most of you all havent noticed, Spielman is one of those people. Had he drafted anyone but a lineman, you fools would have had your guns ready. Remember we had cut all of our O'linemen in the offseason so drafting a linemen was the perfect sense at the time. Did yall ever see him play at the U. This kid was a monster. Now it seems like a bust because he isnt playing. But you girls act like yall were born yesterday and forget about the offseason and the events that happened before the draft. Just like someone has said before, EVERY PLAYER IN THE DRAFT IS LIABLE TO EITHER, COME IN AND PLAY, TAKE A FEW YEARS TO DEVELOP, OR BE A BUST. The jury is still out on Carey. So all yall just chill and dont let the estrogen get to your head,

The only problem I have with what your saying is Carey played both guard and tackle at UM, in fact it was guard he played his senior year.

My first round pick is a tackle while the 6th round pick is a center/guard then I do not have a problem with it.

I watched him play buckwheat, "Monster" is a big stretch in describing his play.

yeah he played guard because of injury. They do not want to play him at guard because it will slow down his development. They want him to concentrate on 1 position.

Look at Jordon Gross at Carolina. He was a great RT last year, but struggled early moving to LT. If you have had Carey taking snaps at RT all year why move him to LG now?

lol, why? Because Dave Wannstedt and Tony Wise said so? Like I said, he had no problem switching positions at the college level, if hes really that talented he should be able to play guard to help this team now, Taylor Whitley is better option than Vernon Carey? When Vernon Carey just spent all last year playing guard at UM?
