Don't believe everything you think.
Bluefin, if he's so stupid, why would you want him to learn two different positions?
Because hes not playing, you can't develop much if you don't play.ChambersWI said:yeah he played guard because of injury. They do not want to play him at guard because it will slow down his development. They want him to concentrate on 1 position.
Look at Jordon Gross at Carolina. He was a great RT last year, but struggled early moving to LT. If you have had Carey taking snaps at RT all year why move him to LG now?

BlueFin said:lol, why? Because Dave Wannstedt and Tony Wise said so? Like I said, he had no problem switching positions at the college level, if hes really that talented he should be able to play guard to help this team now, Taylor Whitley is better option than Vernon Carey? When Vernon Carey just spent all last year playing guard at UM?
Obviously if that is true it explains why hes not on the field and why he is more than likely a bust.inFINSible said:Bluefin, if he's so stupid, why would you want him to learn two different positions?
FireWrongstedt said:Part of the reason we drafted Carey was his versatility, his ability to play both G and T- as a matter of a fact, it was a big reason. He can play G.
No, we didn't. We drafted him to fill Todd Wade's spot.FireWrongstedt said:Part of the reason we drafted Carey was his versatility, his ability to play both G and T- as a matter of a fact, it was a big reason. He can play G.
BlueFin said:I watched him play buckwheat, "Monster" is a big stretch in describing his play.
They said he was slow, not incapable.BlueFin said:Obviously if that is true it explains why hes not on the field and why he is more than likely a bust.
How many times did St Clair's man beat him?BlueFin said:The truth is GM's and Coaches don't like to admit when they made a mistake(See Jamar Fletcher).
The whole idea behind drafting Carey for a need this year has gone out the window, he can't get on the field at any position while a bunch of late rounders and castoffs from other teams are starting.
Its not like our line is playing well and thats keeping Carey on the bench, Feeley was nearly killed yesterday.

Taylor Whitley sucks, there has to be a better combination of starters even if it means putting St Clair at guard.

If he's too slow to learn one position, why are you advocating stunting his growth by making him learn two positions?
Great, so St Clair is a keeper at RT........Then lets put the athletic Carey at LT.inFINSible said:How many times did St Clair's man beat him?
FireWrongstedt said:Primarily, yes. But we had question marks at guard as well, and part of the appeal of Carey was his versatility.
