yeah he played guard because of injury. They do not want to play him at guard because it will slow down his development. They want him to concentrate on 1 position.

Look at Jordon Gross at Carolina. He was a great RT last year, but struggled early moving to LT. If you have had Carey taking snaps at RT all year why move him to LG now?

Because hes not playing, you can't develop much if you don't play.

Taylor Whitley sucks, there has to be a better combination of starters even if it means putting St Clair at guard.

lol, why? Because Dave Wannstedt and Tony Wise said so? Like I said, he had no problem switching positions at the college level, if hes really that talented he should be able to play guard to help this team now, Taylor Whitley is better option than Vernon Carey? When Vernon Carey just spent all last year playing guard at UM?

he switched positions. In college he was a much better tackle then he was a guard.

If he's too slow to learn one position, why are you advocating stunting his growth by making him learn two positions?

I watched him play buckwheat, "Monster" is a big stretch in describing his play.

Thank you Mr. Berlin. I guess I should have said he was straight out garbage. That is why he was slated to go in the first round. Every player that goes in the first round are studs in college no matter how they do in the NFL. He was the best OL that we were in position to get. Or should I say got into position. But I would like to know what are your thoughtful words of describing Carey in college. Notice I said college. That means the University of Miami. You know the school that is right there in Coral Gables. The one where Willis Mcgahee and Clinton Portis came out of.

Again Tackle is different from guard. I don't care if he played both in college, and that he has the ability to play 4 positions on the line, once you draft a lineman and give him a position, you keep him at that position, and develop him at that position unless there is an injury.

Allen Feneca is 1 of the best LG's in the NFL, but last year he had to play RT, and the Steeler's OL struggled. You have different responsibilities as a guard than you do a tackle, it's not a matter of how quickly you pick up the playbook, it's who you have to block. Greg Jermain played well at RT for us last year, and going into camp he was starting RG, but he struggled in game time play. Plus, the fact that it is midway through the season, he would have made alot of mistakes, and people like you would crucify him.

Not every first round pick goes in and starts right away no matter how bad you need him at that position.

yeah, but your not going to change a rookie's position midseason. I don't care how versitile he was at the U, the NFL isn't the Big East. He'd be going up against players that are as big/bigger than him. He makes a better NFL tackle.
