In case you guys didn't notice, each player drafted by the Fins played at least two positions in college:
Mike Pouncey: C, OG
Daniel Thomas: HB, QB
Edmond Gates: WR, KR
Charles Clay: HB, FB, TE, WR
Frank Kearse: DT, DE
Jimmy Wilson: S, CB
Each player beside Thomas (QB) could capably play those positions in the pros as well.
Kiper gave us a draft grade of B-minus, citing a lack of value picks. IMO, any time you can fill two positions of need with one player, it is a great value pick. Having a roster full of versatile players will allow the Fins to roster the best 55 players regardless of position and minimize the effect of injuries. We may not have gone BPA, but we got great value out of each of our picks. I like it.
